This isn't the poll but if we put down who we think should be in it we wont have the problem where someone has been missed out. Then whoever does the poll can see who everyone wants in the poll. Just throw in names you would like to see in the poll.
My selections
Figallo
O.Franks
Jones
Du Plessis
Cole
Castrogiovanni
Slimani

I don't think Du Plessis is as good as any of the others OP mentioned. For SA I'd say Mujati is better. I was surprised there was no Guthro Steenkamp in the other thread as well though ATM I do prefer Mtawarira but I am digressing.

On topic I guess I am saying that I am nominating Mujati.

He was slipping off tackles loads last year, but I was told it's like Dan Cole that he just needs a rest. I was trying to remember the name of the guy you brought in at EOYT was it Malherbe ??? Can't remember if he was a tighthead or loosehead

I hope JdP gets back on form as I don't think HM is going to drop him. I think Oosthuizen is still the 2nd choice with the guy you mentioned- Frans Malherbe (23) WP/Stormers 1st choice tighthead; a lumpy big boy but he makes his tackles and can scrum very well for his age often getting one over very experienced lose-heads- behind him.

Don't think Owen Franks is really worth having on there. He hasn't really improved much in the last year or two. He's good, but he certainly isn't top in the world.

Figallo for me. Jones is too old...
but was still counted as one off the best tightheads in the world last year he definitely isn't too old he is still probably the best now i dont see much props who would be better except from a few.

i agree with your list TheSaffycen but i think you should add Ben Alexander, Ben Franks, Guthro Steenkamp

It's just an opinion. I still rate Jones don't get me wrong and in my book, for what it's worth (nothing), he comes in a solid 2nd purely based on the strength of his scrum. But if I had the means to start a pro club and could buy any tight head I'd buy Figallo ATM.

wow, Mas not even considered here anymore...not criticizing the OP, just the turn of fate for Mas...amazing how he was considered the best just some time ago and now there are 7 named before him and the young Slimani picking his spot even !...

So right now, yeah, can't be Mas anymore, ain't Slimani (yet, or ever, we'll see), it definitely isn't Cole or Franks as I've observed them closely at scrumtime. Can't be Castro...
mmm...Jones or Figallo. Probably Figallo. Jones still is virtually impregnable at scrum-time, but in the loose he really has slowed down. I'ma go wid teh young Puma, and their rep in the scrum sure stands again these days: Juan Figallo gets my vote. Viva los Pumas.

Yep, that's pretty much it. I'll try and find the article, but I think one year he was picked for every single match as a starter that he was uninjured.

be nice when we can choose between Mas and Figallo, but can't see it happening this season, but Chippie will be good for the start of next season.

Mas will be enormously tested in the next few matches, club or test. Is all this just really a huge acclimatisation issue with the rules only or has the man finally reached near-retirement ? Of course Australia this summer won't exactly be the most telling of tests......

So hey can we add a poll to this thing or what ?
