I agree, our inability to execute simple things like 2v1's and 3vs2's is shocking. Our one on one skills as well are terrible.

I think what ginger is getting at is ireland consider themselves the benchmark for handling skills in the NH - mainly because a NZ'er took Leinster and turned them into a super xv team

I do find it weird that this has happened and pretty much no one's thought to try it for themselves.

Pretty much every Quins academy graduate seems to have a good set of hands.

Some interesting stuff which basically confirms a lot of what has been said about last weekend. We defended well (half of Burns' tackles on Nonu, poor guy), had a great set piece and created more chances than NZ. What killed is was not taking those chances.

Yup. Our style of play means that without really good hands we'd be absolutely shagged. If Leinster are the closest the NH has to a Super 15 team then in terms of style Quins are the next best thing (that's not me being an arrogant Quins fan, I'm comparing style of play and approach rather than actual success!).

There was a story that did the rounds back at the start of the Lancaster era that when guys like Mike Brown, JTH, Robshaw who hadn't been involved in a serious England camp before turned up they were massively shocked at how rubbish everyone's handling was.

Quins are known for playing a quick game through the Hands and in close quarters.

I would actually say the best handling team in the Premiership is London Irish - as much as i dislike Brian smith their backline passing is absolutely fantastic. There is atry Yarde scored last year - against Sale i think, movement off 1st phase from left to right, it was phenomenal: Ball in front of the man bringing him onto it, passing not under pressure but in the area where the defender can't drop off, just created space for Yarde to canter in from halfway.

It was my try of the season - if i can find it i'll post ti up.
