Well that was a game of two halves. Aussie disallowed so many tries, they really should've finished and had a bigger lead. I don't think that would have changed much in the 2nd half though, England were rampant and Aussie ran out of steam. They were obviously revved up before the whistle and lost that spark when they went into the shed at HT.
In another year England probably wouldn't be on this unbeaten run, they're still a good side no doubt, but let's be real about how bad South Africa are currently and Aussie have been near the same form. Previous years this England side would have at least lost to South Africa. Really interested in seeing how this England side does vs Ireland and the revitalized France. Should be a cracking 6N and probably the first I'm going to attempt to watch in its complete.
I expect England to make the final in 2019 though. At the very least the SF. Congratulations to them for an unbeaten season and turning around a horrible RWC campaign. But it is a year to late lads. Jones has got to try peak this side for 2019. We'll see if he can keep the momentum going.
Love how fatigue only affects the SH sides.
During the June tests the NH sides have an advantage because we've had the 6N for the sides to gel together etc. and during the winter were fresh from only having played 2 months of domestic and European rugby. There's always an excuse.
Maybe the 4N sides should pool their money together and buy a treadmill or something.
It'd be nice to see the AI's flipped IMO and called the SI (Spring Internationals) and the NH tours of SH flipped to the EOTY, so the "fatigue" excuse can be made redundant by the fact there's home advantage. Not that this would have changed this result. But we were fairly forgiving of Wales before they came out, we knew they were knackered, especially by the last test... check the attitude please mate.
And..
Are you aware of the flying miles all the SH teams do in the Super Rugby then after that they repeat those miles in the RC? Like actually think to yourself for a minute about how much travel they do in 10 months, really. I'm sure the All Blacks players have world record flight minutes for a sports team and individuals. Now you have Japan and Argentina involved as well, so I think those claims are completely justified.
Jesus Christ that journo is a ****.
Could his head be any more up his own arse if he tried?
Reading Chris Rattue is like reading Brian May's, you just don't. The comparison to Stephen Jones isn't quite right because Jones isn't impartial. Rattue is pretty hard on the All Blacks and negative. Before the RWC last year he was calling for Dan Carter and McCaw to retire after the Australian loss. Moron. He usually always has something negative to say about everyone and anyone.
But I do 100% agree with him that a fully fit reasonably fresh All Blacks side on home or away soil wouldn't be troubled too much. You might catch us in Twickers in 2018 though.
