This is the 3rd time rape has been used as an example on this thread in a situation that has 0 to do with it. I've asked twice before and I'll ask again, can we please not use rape for personal arguing reasons, it's too serious for that!

Putin can't fight wars all over, this was a quite response than usual, probably because of the ongoing war, maybe because of the lack of military infrastructure Russia has in Finland.
If I remember correctly Russia deployed a fleet in the Kola Peninsula, which includes ballistic missiles, due to the perceived threat.
These actions are in line with Russian attitudes to threats perceived or real. Remember Russia does look long term, and will respond at some point, which is exactly my point, why keep provoking them?
So Ukraine not being in NATO provoked Russia?

Labour have the same issue as Dems, low voter turnout is their friend, that's not a long term strategy to success, soon enough a charismatic populist / cult of personality will come along and the momentum will be too much to stop.

Your trying to argue a point that's been disproved, "Finland applied to join after Russia started it's special military humiliation and Russia didn't seem bothered at all."
Putin called Finns enemies if they joined NATO, and made military manoeuvres in the Kola peninsula. We can deduce Putin was bothered, he's just too busy to be able to do anything substantial. He made the same noises with Ukraine in 2021 did he not, kept warning them about their exercises and infrastructure in Ukraine?

Don't go to youtube comments, christ almighty it's a dumpster fire, all the usual dog whistles, some flat out racism and a lot of blaming Kier Starmer for being willing to release the ethnicity of the perpetrator within minutes in the case of it being a white man.
