Watching the game right now, not too bad from the Italians.

OK so it's not Magners, but Aironi got their first win of the season this p.m.in the Heineken beating Barritz (14 internationals in the team) 28 -27 with a last min drop from their (French) n° 15! Apparently an exciting game, that bodes well for the rest of the season.

Lads Nick Williams was excellent today. If he wasn't injury prone he'd have been kept at Munster but now he is staying fit and his class is showing. Also a character in the dressing room

Great result for Aironi. They may be the whipping boys in the Magners League at present but this result goes to show that playing a better standard week in, week out is bringing their level up.

I've said it before and will again, we will only really see the true benefits of Aironi and Treviso in the ML in 3/4 years. This will be the time when Italian rugby will really move to a new level.
