Was looking forward to this but don't know whether we'll get a game now what with the weather.

Me too , but the Brumbies are playing in a minute so i'll catch the replay tomorrow

provided they play at all

I hope they dont scrap this game all together coz it's not often we get to see this format of the game......... and i for one really enjoy it.

Great game of Pro 20. Well done to both teams on an entertaining match. :bravo:
But, who was that kak umpire that made bad decisions against both teams?

The Aussies never give up do they? Great spirit shown especially with the partnership between Lee and Hogg, don't think many thought they would have ended up only losing by 2 runs.

Although not from any lack of effort on the South African's side, fantastic innings from Gibbs and Smith, in fact all the batmen contributing with Bosman picking up 23 off 18 and Van der Wath getting 14 off just 7.

Whether this will give the Proteas the boost they need for the series ahead is another thing. Not quite sure, how many of the 20/20 specialists will be picked in the ODI and test series.

meh.........Gilchrist and Ponting found out why they dont use home umps in official matches(fixed) :p

That was a really weak aussie batting lineup, where was Hussey and why the hell did they bring Watson, he's the most overated player in Australian cricket.

he'd been out injured as well, wasn't he? seems strange he'd get back in this quickly.

Nothing to worry about for the Aussies, had Symonds played I think it could have made a huge difference as well.

Phil Jaques has finally been added to the aussie squad after a number of injuries to key players.

There was a bit of an uproar over here when jaques wasn't included in the original squad to tour SA, some ex players like Steve Waugh called it a joke not to include him after his form for NSW this year and the excuse that his fielding wasn't up to par was ridiculous............i agree

With Ponting,Symonds and S.Clarke injured ATM and Mcgrath not playing at all on the SA tour i think our 1day team should look like this....

Gilchrist
Jaques
Hodge
Martyn
Hussey
Katich
M.Clarke
Hogg
Lee
Bracken
Lewis

We need to have a long batting line-up not this 5 batsman crap we have been useing in the last 2 games......in both those games we lost 3 early wickets which left guys like M.Clarke and Hussey to play conservative and not there natural game.

I think we only need 4 bowlers and the remaining 10 overs can be shared between guys like M.Clarke,Hussey,Hodge and Katich....... with that batting line-up we can chase any total and set massive targets for the chasing team.

Watson should be sent home never to play for Australia again and Hodge should be in the team for both forms of the game, at least until Ricky or Roy are fit.

If we chose the team i mentioned than we would not lose another 1day match on this tour ,But knowing the Australian Selectors they will stick with a stupid line-up and persist with the muppet that is Shane Watson.(idiots) :wall:

TRUTH for ACB Head Selector...........you know it makes sense

What's the story with Ponting. How much of the tour is he going to miss?
Abdominal tear..........Physio want him to take another week or so off but Ricky wants to play.

I'd say he'd miss the next game, next 2 tops

Thanks , are you watching the 1dayer between SA and OZ ??

Yeah, evenly poised at the moment, SA 101-3 currently. SA have thrown their wickets away though.

Tough chase for the Aussies, 290 at Capetown, decent enough start from most of the batsmen but no massive scores, Kemp and Pollock had a decent partnership to put the pressure on the Aussies with Kemp unbeaten on 51. If any team can chase down this total it's the Aussies. They don't care much for stats, wouldn't write them off either.

289 / 7 after 50 overs. I'm still not overly confident. That pitch looks like a belter and with the strong Australian batting line up, and the short boundaries, anything can still happen.

Still though... very, very, pleased with the Proteas. :bravo:

Bloody turncoat :p

doesn't really look like a strong aussie batting lineup with Watson in the team

I dont speak Zulu so your gonna have to translate that :D

Another bad start for the Aussies............ this is where there short batting lineup will struggle again.

I told you i should pick the team

YEEEEBBBOOOOOOOO!!!!

BAIE DANKIE NTINI!!!!!!

:bana:  :bravo: :D  B)

They might need you for Sunday by the look of it, Ponting could well be back, it seemed he could have played this evening but didn't push it, Symonds could be back as well.

Great bowling effort from South Africa. Ntini picking up 6 wickets but all the bowlers contributed, Pollock as good as ever, Nel chipping in with 3 wickets.

Winning the toss seems to have been the biggest victory for the South Africans today.

exactly batting first under lights is a huge advantage.

On a side note Australia's bowling attack looks very weak without the likes of McGrath, Dizzy and Warne
