Yeah with the amount of transfers you can change your starting 15 almost completely in a couple of rounds. I think the best move was to pick the South Africans and then just change your team around.
 
Had a shocker of a round and lots of negative points including my captain dear old Coenie

I agree, with the transfers/bench there is no reason why you can't pick a team full of Sharks, Bulls, Lions, and Cheetahs in the first round and still have a first choice side in round 2 (at least I hope so!). Very happy with my first round, especially the performance of Cornal Hendricks and Chrysander Botha who I picked simply because they were cheap :)

I saw! Good picks in both cases as it turned out. I'm glad I had Hendricks myself; also as a 75K man to just keep him on the bench for the rest of the tournament.
 
It's too late but i've realised the error of my ways... ahh well, see if I can claw my way out of the bottom of the table now :)

Yeah, I know but the only player from my team that played and I didn't had him on the field was Paul Jordaan. All my other substitutes didn't play in the first round.

How many changes can be made per round? That's something that I'm not sure, that why I didn't change. I can buy and sell players unlimited or is there a limit per round?. For example, for the first round I could make a team, half team of cheetahs and half team from lions, then in the second round I can make a complete change?

This is in the 'rules' section of the site among the top right corner tabs. The transfers and the amount of players per team (max 6 from one team in regular rounds) is probably the most important info apart from the basic how-to-play stuff.

Then the changes are unlimited? I'm not sure about that.

My post got missing somehow but the most important info besides the info on transfers above is that you are allowed max 6 players from any particular team in regular rounds. Check out the rules section uner the tab named 'rules'; small tabs located top right on my browser. Hope that helps somewhat although it would've helped a lot more earlier but there is always next so see this year as a learning curve but who knows, maybe you come from behind and beat all ;P
 
So the trick to this game I think is to look ahead and manage the byes well. If your six best players are all Hurrricanes and the Hurricanes have a bye in two weeks then you want to trade off a couple of Hurricanes now. You will also need to be well planned for the round later in the season when the South African teams are not playing. In the weeks before that round you will need to slowly replace South African players with Australians/New Zealanders.

So until yesterday I could make unlimited transfers? I could have put 8 cheetahs and 7 lions and I'd be among the first places.

You are only allowed 6 players per team. But yeah you could have used Sharks and Bulls players.
 
Yeh I had 5 sharks players, 5 cheetahs, 4 Bulls and 1 Lions, in my squad. All I expect to start this weekend, then on the bench I have players from the other franchises. So then use the 6 transfers to maybe add the more favourable match ups when the team sheets come out.
 
The teams are grossly outdated on Foxy this year

No Alofa Alofa, Bryan Habanna still + plenty of other stuff ups
They should really get to grip with whats happening

That often happens at the start of the season. They do usually add 'new' players as the season goes on, so I'm sure Alofa will be available around week 4 (once he is no longer in the Waratahs starting lineup ;) ).

I'm not really sure what to do with my side this week. Usually I do poorly in the first round so find it easy to make piles of changes for round 2. I did reasonably well this time - I just know any players that I drop from my first round side are going to have massive games this weekend! On the bright side I have Ben Smith back in my lineup this week :)

Yes, the slowness to update the available players, the slowness to post the weekend teams (when they are TV/sports news site), and everyone's teams seem to look the same as the comp progresses ... might be my last year if the other fantasy comps that I'm in go well
 
I had a good second round, but the fact that I made ​​only 50 points in the first round makes my situation very difficult

Had a pretty solid 2nd round, but lost my head-to-head matchup (to the Central Vikings, whoever they are). Looks like foxsports added most of the 'missing' players (Alofa Alofa etc) before the round started.

Ja, I decided to use my wildcard and when I refreshed there were some major changes. I bought said freak but unfortunately had him on the bench and an underperforming Johnny McNicholl 'in play'.
