Hillsborough Disaster

Hillsborough had played host to many semi-finals and big games prior to this so whats the difference with this one?
easy to now look back on things as if it was purely the police`s fault, the truth is Liverpool fans behavoir and their reputation were a major factor in the disaster.[/b]

Absolutely wrong.

There was no stampede as soon as the side gate was opened, everything was at walking speed. FACT.

There was NO crowd trouble or antagonism by either the Liverpool or Nottingham Forrest fans. FACT.

There was a woeful lack of police, communication between police and their controllers and co-ordination with emergency services. FACT.

Previous semi-finals at Hillsborough also reported trouble with overcrowding and crushing at the Leppings Lane end. FACT.

The difference between this semi-final and previous semi-finals was that there were no staff or police at the entrance to the fatal two pens to direct fans away. FACT.

Those are the facts. Get out of your Murdoch induced delusions out of your head and wake up. The sooner people like you get the facts straight then the sooner justice will come for the 96.

The basics is the stadium wasn't set up right for the game that was going to be played. The chances are that if this had been any other club, the same would of happend.[/b]

At the time of the Heysel tragedy hooliganism was very rare on the continent. At that time this kind of accident was very unlikely to happen if no English club was involved. That's why the UEFA after this tragedy banned English clubs for some years.

Nowadays the anti-hooligans laws and rules adopted in UK work very well and this kind of accident is unlikely to happen with English clubs but rather with clubs of the rest of Europe where hooliganism has since then prospered unfortunately.
