I'm reading about quite a few players that are out now for a period of time due to injury.

Scarra Ntobeni is out for the rest of the year with an achilles injury
Juan Smith ruptured his left bicep and will be out for a while.
Pat Lambie is only now returning to training.

etc.

It gives the body time to rest, as rugby is such a punishing sport.
So, even if we don't see our favourite players in action for a while, at least their body does recover for a bit.

Not so much for Scarra, there's a chance his career is over.

Must admit, I've long thought this to be the case.

Doesn't always work out mind - seems mid-to-late twenties it can be a blessing, later it's more often the beginning of the end.

IMHO.
