Investec Champions Cup 23/24 - Rd 2

He was born in the same town as me therefore is the best player in the league

When you are clearly being turned over, why can professional players still not just let the ball go? Conceding possession will very rarely be worse than the penalty. If a guy is literally picking you up off the ground by the ball, just let go of the damn thing. Hell, if you do it suddenly enough, they may even knock it on.

It's one of the more outright cynical actions. If the other team has legally won the turnover you are slowing the ball on the ground. It seems that it is just accepted that it's okay to force the ref into calling the penalty instead of complying with the laws.

Should send off the Stade Francis player for the most shameless milking attempt this weekend.

first it was just the doctors but now French ball boys are tactically ahead of the game

Just watched the Chiefs game! That was a rollercoaster. Some insane intercepts, kicks, steals and running lines.

Cannot believe we've come back and done it again! 2 from 2.

Jack Dunne skills to get that ball, control it and get it down!

Sladey intercept to seal the win was great

So halfway through how many points do people think will be enough?

From what I can see it will depend on the group. If you have 2 teams getting 3 or 4 wins then probably 2 wins is enough to qualify. If everyone swaps wins then it gets complicated and will come down to bonus points.

Also realised in theory it's possible to qualify with no wins. Let's take group A as an example. Say Bordeaux and Lyon both get 4 wins and finish between 16-20 points each. Then the Bulls won their 2 games against Saracens and Bristol to finish on 8+ points. Saracens and and Bristol then both beat Connacht but don't pick up any BPs in any game and finish on 4 points each. If Connacht got 2 BPs in every game they lost they could get a maximum of 8 points and qualify.

I know it's extremely unlikely, but interesting that in theory you can qualify without winning.

Just watched second half of Toulouse. The 20 year old center they had to finish the game was very exciting. Almost had three halfbacks out there.
