Its what hughes did with England but different reasons, he turned down Fiji a few times to play for England. Playing in and for England was best for him and his family but i dont think he ruined rugby or devalued it(well maybe he did a bit but thats because he learned his breakdown skills from Hask)"Obviously, it was a dream for me to play for the All Blacks", you know, being a kid from New Zealand. But then you get to a stage in your life where you've got to sometimes park dreams and think of opportunity
The above quote is nauseating & disgusting
Irish Rugby is losing its soul in pursuit of Mercenaries and/or Project Players
James Lowe is not Irish, just a Kiwi Mercenary likely to play Int'l rugby for Ireland in 2020
I'm sick of this garbage: it's ruining Int'l Rugby
Luke Fitzgerald & Matt Williams have been bang on in their observations in their last podcast
& Article respectively

Listen to these fecking eejits whooping and cheering at the end
I do get your point but your have to realise that players love playing and want to play international rugby. They want to be at the top and some will find a new home to achieve their dreams if they have to. And i cant blame them. If they are good enough they will make it and if not they wont.
Ultimately hughes has been found not good enough for the world cup where as with fiji he would have been. Its a risk they take the project players.
It happens to all countries.
