I know a bit about the highlighted players. What I know I like, particularly captain Wian Liebenberg has impressed me taking on the big boys with aplomb s one would wager he'd at least be on a par in the junior levels. I expect our scrum to be an area of strength again. Gallant (poached by the Bulls) and Hermanus should form a very nippy partnership not only because both are elusive runners but they've played there rugby together for years now and were at the helm of a very sucessful Outeniqua schools side. On that, where is Duhan van der Merwe from the same team? I thought he'd still be eligable. I see Arno van Staden has either not been selected or is injured as well?

The Inaugural Oceania Under 20 tournament kicks off tomorrow, on the Gold Coast, in Australia, between Australia, Japan, New Zealand, and Samoa.

I believe you can view Australia play Samoa from the above site, at 3PM Eastern Australian time

A tournament of this type is long overdue in the SH, as the Six Nations U20 has been going for a few years now, and it will allow some of the team combinations to be tried before the big tournament.

Not sure of the team/squad make ups, as they are subject to change due to Super Rugby commitments.

From a New Zealand point of view (I don't have the links for these yet), Damian McKenzie won't be released by the Chiefs, as he's needed for cover, due to Aaron Cruden's injury. Akira Ioane will also miss out, as he's committed to NZ Sevens, but Tevita Li will be in the mix, and also Otere Black at 10 (he'll fill D.McKenzie's place)

Ireland's chances have pretty much been wiped out with one injury. Ross Byrne will miss the tournament.

Junior Bok side to face hosts Italy tomorrow. That is a monster forward pack for a junior side but I can't say much for the backs: I either know nothing about the players and those few backs I know of I am not overly excited about.

That pack is massive!!

I know Gelant and Du Plessis in the backs are explosive runners.

Gelant is fast and big and can kick the ball a long way.
Warwick Gelant and Daniel Du Plessis are 2 great and exciting players in the back/

21. Charlie Rock (Old Belvedere/Leinster)
22. Tomás Quinlan (Cork Constitution/Munster)
23. Jacob Stockdale (Queen's University Belfast/Ulster)

Carolan's preferred team based on the 6N. Byrne really is a massive loss but hopefully Carberry can step up.

Nice looking back division. Fitzgerald is flying it lately in training with us so I'm hoping he has big tournament.

Stockdale is in for Gaffney.

For anyone who has Sky it's on ESPN (417) as well as TG4 of course.

Murphy won't want to see that again, certain try if he caught that.

****ing hell that's a massive kick from Stockdale.

- - - Updated - - -

Our set peice is letting us down massively, we've lost 4 line outs and the scrums not been geat.

That forward pass is two certain tries gone now, we need to be more clinical.

12-13 to Argentina with 54 gone. We should really be doing better but Argentina have shown some good stuff as well.

Phew, last minute touckline kick from Quinlan to win it for us. Made much harder work of it than we should have.

Where is it being shown?

BT Sport 2. 26-0 to England after 16 mins. England's physical advantage already showing. Their forwards are an average of 10kg heavier than Japan's.

Got a lot of time for what Japan are trying to do, playing in their fast pace etc. just physically at a disadvantage.

45-0 to England. Impressive stuff from Morris at 15, Tompkins at 13, Townsend at 9 and Chisholm at 8. England's power and accuracy too much for Japan to handle.

Japan look lively in attack, good couple of outside breaks from quick ball. Hope to see more of them at the full World Cup
