Perpignan v Northampton

Northampton penalty on the 10m line. Crowd showing the level of respect you'd expect, ie. None.

Anyway Geraghty slots it 10-3.

Oh wait infringement at the restart, better make that 13-3.

Ohhh, Lovely try by Ashton, chip and chase into the corner. All came from a lovely kick to the corner from Geraghty and the French messing around in the 22. Conversion missed leaves it 13-8.

EDIT: 1111st post, how epic is that?

Bah, got it back just in time to see David Marty stroll in under the posts. Same score, except +7 to "Le" Home side.

Yup Brian Mujati grabbed it after a good Northampton break, missed conversion though so its 20-13.

Courtney Lawes making a *** of himself there. Pushing a player out of the way and then tackleing a player who doesn't have the ball handing Perpignan 3 points.

23 - 13

Just for the record. The result was

Perpignan 29 - 13 Northampton

This group is going to be great, but only one team is coming out of it.

Great result for us and especially as Northampton didn't get a BP.

If we win tomorrow it'l open up the group completely.

Also Montpeiller 16 - 22 Connacht  The West has awoke

Agreed that 2teams can come out but think next 2 games for perpignan against us will decide that.
But lets not forget majority of groups will be extremely so it hard to say where 2 runner-ups will come from.

Well, that was a balls up of epic proportion.

By my reckoning, assuming all the fixtures go the way I'd assume, it'll finish;

1. Munster (19 points)
2. Saints (18 points)
3. Perpignan (16 Points)
4. Treviso (Anywhere from 4-9 points)

Unless saints manage to pick up 5 points in Italy.

Perpignan won't win at Franklins Gardens - Unless Nigel Owens is reffing again and continues his form of being a one-eyed c***.

Aw come off it, its a huge task to win in France. Especially in places as hostile to teams (but friendly to fans) as Perpignan!

Its only early days as well, now that everyone has each lost a game it is anybody's to win :)

Yeah, it's certainly the fault of Owens that Hartley spent half of the game playing the ball off his feet/on the wrong side of the ruck...
