Question of Sport 2

I think that I need to clear this question up a little bit.

There have been five teams that have been eliminated from the World Cup finals without losing a game. I consider that losing in Extra-Time or on Penalties still count as a defeat.

All I want are two of these five teams and the year.

Okay - no one is going to answer the question so here it is:

Belgium '98
England '82
Cameroon '82
Brazil '78
Scotland '74

In the Football World Cup which two teams do they mean when they refer to the "Phantom Final"?

Its got to be the Two most successful teams in the World Cup

Which is Germany and Brazil

Yup - well done!

Until '02 the two most successful sides in world cup history had never met in the final of the world cup.

Thus a Brazil v Germany final was always referred to as the "phantom final".

I remember hearing something the other day about this on BBC Sport, saying that it could well happen again with the brazilians being favourites and the germans being on home soil..

I shall think of a new question...

Heres another World cup themed Question......

What was introduced for the first time in the World Cup in Mexico in 1970?

Is it something really random like coloured goal nets?
