Walkinshaw strikes again:

I don't like him or trust him I find him smiley but he will have the most info on the situation and with Glous up for sale will be the most loose tongue about it.

First Re tweets this:
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">So pleased that the Aviva Premiership final will involve both teams with a suspended salary cap investigation hanging over them... </p>&mdash; Kirstie Lundgaard (@KirstieLund) <a href="https://twitter.com/KirstieLund/status/602171325361344512">May 23, 2015</a></blockquote>

Then this

and pretty much favourites every tweet saying the same thing including this from Goode.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">But if as reported they are the 2 teams that have broken the salary cap a) you'd expect to get to the final and b) they should be punished</p>&mdash; Andy Goode (@AndyGoode10) <a href="https://twitter.com/AndyGoode10/status/602170919289782272">May 23, 2015</a></blockquote>

It does make an interesting question IF both teams are found to be over the cap.

Although this would mean the investigation would be public which wont happen IMO.

What everyone knows but no one dare says. Who says crime doesn't pay, eh?

Will be interesting to see what English rugby looks like in 2-3 years time, lots of people are going to feel very unrestrained after the RWC, I think...

Yep the amount of Times I have heard recently about Leicester might have to get a owner in, has made me feel they are trying to slowly ready supporters for it to happen.

I hate it when tweets have spelling errors!

Ryan's tweet should have said:

I wonder if the other riders felt sour grape against Lance Armstrong....

I don't see what is different apart from you changing grapes to grape, which is actually wrong.

Nev's Left Boot (the excellent Quins fan podcast) tweeted something similar.

Regardless of what the actual truth is, it is becoming a bit of a joke. But hey ho.

The slary cap is causing us enough problems we should just throw it out the window at the end of the day there will always be clubs that find a way around it. Surely we want our teams winning European cups again which means we need to pay higher salaries.

Supports Bath.

Makes sense.

Don't give a **** about Europe TBH, nice if you can win it... but it leaves me kinda flat, particularly given that we should be trying to lessen the load on players.

Not at the expense of homegrown players, not at the expense of smaller clubs.

At the moment there's motivation to invest in training facilities, coaches and youth academies for a rich owner because there's only so much of your millions you can spend on Galacticos. If Bruce Craig was able to spend his cash on building an English Toulon, he'd have bought the new training facilities, or good young English players like Auterac or JJ? I don't, personally

Bath stand to gain from abolishing the salary cap, rugby as a whole doesn't, and I know which I support first

My thoughts exactly.....

I still think it's Gloucester who've broken the cap not Bath.

Bath's talents were signed as kids on low wages, those wages haven't gone up. Burgess is on decent wages but I wouldn't have thought that high.

Look at the Gloucester side on the other hand and I could very easily see them over the cap. Very easily.

There's still enough names in the Bath side that'd be on wedge to tip them over, i reckon.
Paul james, henry Thomas, kyle Eastmond, louw, Attwood, ford, Joseph.

Agulla will probably be on decent money, as an international, BananaMan too. Arscott was tempted away from Chiefs so probably a decent sum there.
All adds up.

Gloucester definitely could be though - Hibbard and Afoa, according to the press, are on ridiculous salaries (think Afoa is the highest paid in England?).
Marquee takes one of them out of the equation, though.

Louw is the marquee so he doesn't add up remotely to it. Thomas, James, Eastmond, Attwood I can see on highish wages. Ford and Joseph atm on lower wages.

Agulla yep, I reckon high too. But, he's going to the Argie side in the summer. Banahan could be decent wages, maybe arscott.

Hmmm, yeah fair enough it's close, but I look at the Gloucester side and think... yeah, expensive.
