South Africa In Australia

It's not beyond the realm of probability that SA could get around 200 runs in the first 2 sessions, declare and get into the Aussies. The highest 4th innings total is what, 276 and that was over 120 years ago, anything around 220 seems to be a bit of a struggle so with the hundred run lead I'd still slightly favour SA.

cant find wins oh well :S

Don't think Kallis has done SA's chances any good with getting Gibbs run out, pity for SA that Gibbs didn't sacrifice Kallis instead, would have given the team a better chance to push on tomorow, can't really see that happening with Kallis and Prince at the crease.

Weather doesn't seem to be helping either, has draw written all over it.

yeah the weather stuffed up the 4th day totally, there is no chance now for saf to bowl out aussie, pity about the weather would have been a close finish otherwise.

kallis was just ball watching, i dont know if gibbs called or just ran but it looked rather dodgy. if he just ran and didn't call i blame gibbs but he was going good eh

I'd blame Kallis, he just fell asleep, had he realised what was happening he should have sacrificed himself to keep Gibbs at the crease but as they were saying on Sky last night all the players really care about is their averages.

well 288 is now the highest score in the 4th innings
<

i just think that was one of those things. run out happen all the time
<

still they should have gone for it for another 5 overs and put up another 50 or so

No Smith made the right call to declare, had to give himself time to bowl out the Aussies, just unfortunate for him that his bolwing lineup is a bit behind the Aussies.

yeah i just think he needed more runs to bowl at they had 70 odd overs to get 288 really it was 2 easy in the end

they can blame that twat kallis, playing for himself again, they should have been looking to score at over 6 an over to set a decent target not 4

it was in the first innings when Kallis and Prince should have pushed the pace a little, got closer to 550 or 600 runs which was possible on that wicket.

Twenty20 was pretty much a one sided affair, just pity the tv went on the blink during the Aussie innings. SA just blown apart though in their innings. Great throw from Ponting to run out Kallis.

big win for the aussies , great crowd also

did u watch this in ireland An Tarbh????

yeah was good to c martyn back in the team again, i was always a fan of his. and symo blasted a good 50
<

looking forward to the vb series
<
though i think the sri lankan games will suck
<

should be more competitive than today, as they were saying when a team makes such a collosal total then the matches have a tendency of descening into nothing affairs.

Plus from a SA viewpoint I don't think their middle order is suited to Twenty20.
