Springboks vs Wallabies, July 24th 2010, Third Tri Nations Test

Ok, seen the Sharks team, feel better

So then, who do the resident Aussies think will kick on Saturday?
Will Cooper take the duties or will Giteau resume?
The manager of the SouthernXV ( B) ) needs to know who to select between them

Completely off-Topic, but at least we know that if McCaw and Rossouw had a bout, Rossouw would kick his ass. -_-

I'd love to see Brussouw play in a game like that one against the All Blacks, see how he would perform going backwards all the time like Mccaw was in 2009, then say who is better.

But ahwell, guess if he does get selected we will get to see how good he is going backwards all the time when the All Blacks make it 3-0 in Soweto.

Australia by 10+ points.

Even when we lost to France last year, with our pack getting demolished, Brussouw shined. If it wasn't for him, we would have lost by a far greater margin. I even remember one of the guys on here say '**** knows how badly the Boks would have lost had it not been for Brussouw!' Brussouw is a brilliant player.

After a long rest, and an 85 000 strong crowd at Soccer City, i reckon the Boks are going to thrash New Zealand. That's right. you heard it here first.

Can we please start focusing on spelling player's names right? I see stuff like Russouw, Pieterson, Muliania, Rocococo, Bismaark du Plessis, Ma'afu, Bohta... Not just this topic, but please guys... Pay a little attention with spelling the names.

I also check if I am not sure about names like Muliaina, Rokocoko and Mealamu.

Just a thing that bugs me ;)

Sorry, I thought you said Brussouw, not Russouw and yes Russouw would kick the **** out of Mccaw.

The Soweto game will be close but it will go to the All Blacks, home advantage doesn't mean a huge difference, only altitude does.

But onto this game, I said Australia 10+, because well, they have the best attacking backline in the world with the x-factor from 9-15 and their loosies are better than South Africas. The real battle will be the tight fives which I know Australia will lose but don't write them off completely, these new interpretations are favouring attacking sides, Australia are full of attack.

Soccer city isn't in Soweto. :/ No idea why everyone says that. It's on the outskirts of Roodepoort in a suburb called Nasrec.

EDIT: Oh nevermind. I see Nasrec is now part of 'Greater Soweto'... Man times change.

Isn't it "Rossouw", or are we talking about a different player now?

Its all very well having a back-line with the "X" factor, but if their forwards can't win them the ball.....

as proved in the six nations ireland scotland match

Why do people think Aus have an amazing backline? I mean don't get me wrong, it's one of the best backlines in the world, but I don't know what advantage people rate Aus's backline over South Africa's. Aus will play a different style, but I doubt you'll see them duplicate the All Blacks backline. That's not pride talking, it's just don't think they will.

Will Genia: Best active half back in the world while du Preez is injured. Had an amazing S14.
Quade Cooper: Great ball runner, amazing skills, but at times he looks like he's too tricky, and his team doesn't know what's going on.
Drew Mitchell: Had a great S14, good all rounder, but I can't see him tearing up the Springboks defence.
Matt Giteau: Average goal kicker. Average touch kicker. Was thought to perhaps be dropped. Good play maker, but hasn't slipped into 12 the way everyone wanted him to.
Rob Horne: All right crash baller, but offers little in my opinion.
James O'Connor: Isn't even a winger. He can be dangerous, but I can't see him having the speed to take on either Gio Aplon or Bryan Habana.
Adam Ashley Cooper: Good fullback and strong finisher. Will be good for the counter attack.

Still, looking over this backline, it hardly inspires fear the way other AUS backlines have, with players like Mortlock, Larkham, Gregan, Tiqiri, Tune, Latham etc...
