Go Bombers!

Scott Lucas!

etc.

Saw the Bombers beat Geelong last year, but they seem to flounder unless I'm in the stadium.

Nice jerseys though.

Pretty much none as far as I'm aware. Certainly haven't seen any around.

It's annoying, I enjoy watching it, but it would attract anywhere near attention over here to make it worthwhile showing I don't think.

Have to make do with keeping up with results over the net.

In front of 40,000+ fans the Eagles kicked off there season in fine form beating the Saints 84-66  both teams looked a little rusty and even though the Eagles were in control for the entire game poor kicking kept the Saints in touch.

No wonder the Footy show sold out the theatre royal in minutes every time they go to London, all the aussies over there must be starved of anything footy related.

James Hird has just been cleared to play against Sydney on saturday night, so i think the bombers have a great chance to knock off last years premiers at home........ i hope they do it coz i bloody hate the Swans.

I haven't seen a full game of AFL since I went back to NZ from Melbourne in 01.

We get a weekly highlights programme in TG4, have to check if we'll still have it this season. Only the Grand Final is shown live on Sky Sports.

As a standard with AFL since 2005

The Ugly Ducklings will reign Supreme

Go you SWANNIES!!!!!!!

I bloody hope not ,i couldn't sit through another Swans Grand Final

They bring the game back 20 years every time they play(much like the English Rugby team)

They truely are the UGLY ducklings

No offence.

But i think afl is ****

I just...dont get the sport.

They all look like homos really.

Carry on :)

i think its **** too - and its reall selfish of the aussies to have their own sport.

have to disagree with the last 2 comments, like the AFL myself, there's a good pace to the game, high level of skill especially when it comes to some of the marks these guys make and their shooting skills aren't too bad either. Plus it makes good tv if there's a blow up.

yeah but you would like it as its youre national sport too,

i think youre both selfish - you dont see wales having mining rules rugby do you?

No I'm quite happy with hurling being the national sport and I'll defy anyone to find a faster more skillful game.

AFL isnt their national game.

If any game is their national game, it would be rugby league or cricket.
