Is Jordie still eligible for the ABs while in Ireland? If not why should they get a say

I've heard that, if they indeed exist, that Jordie's restricted minutes are agreed with the NZRU. Still sloppy management to not have two starts in the bank for the semi final and a potential final.

Still think Henshaw over Osborne is just as bad. Ringer does so much defensively anyway he needs his inside man to be on the pace, Henshaw looked lethargic, Osborne is solid as you'd like.
lol, rugby teams trying to make their coaches manage players like it's a card game.

No way to manage a rugby team
more clear and clear that Leinster are less a rugby team but rather a quarter of a rugby team. German rugby was killed cause of concerns that Heidelberger and Stade Francais had the same ownership. Meanwhile, the IRFU persistently meddles in the management of four different teams.

Think he's still under NZRU contract and this sabbatical was worked out between them and the IRFU (as they have the oversight on NIQ players)

Ah fair enough. Seems like a silly oversight from Leinster that they couldn't pick him for all the knockout rounds. Not that he'd necessarily have made the difference but why handicap the team at the sharp end of competitions?

Very interesting see for Pollock try Northampton knew Sam Prendergast was terrible tackling and was hiding in blindside wing alot. They designed a few plays to target him isolated. It smart and wonder will more follow suit

Henshaw on a new CC will be there for 2 more years too. Osborne not near squad is a sin though.
And regardless of Jordie minutes limit isn't it a waste paying him alot but not being able to.use him.

You'd have thought they'd have seen it coming considering it's exactly what Ireland did to England.

Still it is impressive coaching to design plays for when he is isolated in that spot. Leinster hide him well but Saints kicked door down excellently.

I would echo that Cullens position at least needs to be seriously considered, but I don't think he is fully to blame either. Leinster have had pretty much everything they need in terms of investment in coaches and players to get over the hump and if they can't you have to look at the one constant in Cullen.

That said if the IRFU are indeed making a call that your marquee signing, who was signed specifically to elevate you beyond your previous failings, can't play in a European semi final, it's a ridiculous overreach and money being ****** up against a wall. It's not like he was needed to hold down the fort during the 6 Nations, that period was trivial for Leinster.

I do have a feeling that Cullen will survive this though, at least until the end of his contract next year. For better or worse I think the IRFU will see him as too valuable to lose, and to be honest I think they probably have a lot of loyalty to him.

I'm also not sure if looking back in a few years if Nienaber will prove to have been a great fit for Leinster either to be honest. Purely basing that on vibes and nothing else.

Aside from the Leinster of it all, really have a lot of time for how that Northampton team showed up and just went after Leinster. I think Bordeaux might be a bridge too far, but certainly wouldn't count them out either.

McGuire surely going to a better contract as he was nicely positioned considering Furlong injuries and Slimani age

Rumour is he's going to Ulster but I don't think he was particularly highly rated. Barely got a handful of minutes this year. They seem to be clearing the way for Smyth.

Maybe but was a decent prop. Will probably get more time in Belfast
