Been watching Boumsong for three years - he's a good centre half and let's face it he has to be better than what you have right now. He stood out for Auxerre a mile when they visited Anfield a while back - a top player.

Serious goings on at the Man City Christmas party with Joey Barton and Jamie Tandy getting in a right mess. Tandy tried to set Barton on fire and Barton stubbed a cigar out in his eye. Barton has been fined 6 weeks wages and Tandy two. Gobshites the both of them.

This transfer window isn't exactly proving to be as interesting as some people thought. Doesn't look like Morientes will be going to Liverpool after Wanderley Luxemburgo said they'd be helping a rival, although that doesn't make much sense to me, they're hardly likely to meet any time this season and even if they were Morientes couldn't play.

Looks like Morientes has got his way and is on his way to Liverpool for about â'¬10 million or â'¬9 million if they pay in one go. Lyon had bid â'¬12 million but Morientes wants to go to Liverpool and would have stayed at Real if he couldn't join up with Benitez.
