The Premiership 2005-2006 thread 2

Yeah Newcastle pack there stadium regardless of how crap they are or who's playing for them.

Was that a little snow i saw at Anfield? I would trade weather with you guys atm, its been high 30's the last couple days and its going to be around 40 for next week or so(i cant handle anymore of this heat)

Well.... Half Time at Anfield and its the same old story for the Reds, totally dominating the game but just cant get the ball in the back of the net.

I cant believe it :wall: what do we have to do to put it in the bloody onion bag.

No one in the EPL dominates games as much as us, no one gets more corners, free kicks and just plain chances then Liverpool.......... but yet we have one of the worst goal scoring records in the league....... it speaks for its self....... we NEED A WORLD CLASS STRIKER...

Thats the only thing thats stopping us from being one of the top clubs in the world.

Forget about a right winger or centre back............ sell Cisse and Nando and get a genuine goal scorer.

end of rant.

We've been having snow showers in this area over the last week. So it's possible, wasn't snowing at St James Park though, Newcastle again winning a match that we wouldn't have under Souness. Nolan had a deflected shot that hit off Elliot and hit the post whereas it would have gone in a few weeks back, bit of luck for Shearer's goal as well and Gardener should be shot for staying on the line and playing Ameobi onside. Still though Roeder has the midas touch at the moment so I'm happy.

Other results:

Aston Villa 1 - 0 Portsmouth
Fulham 0 - 4 Arsenal
Liverpool 0-0 Charlton
Middlesbrough 1 - 0 Birmingham
Newcastle 3 - 1 Bolton
West Brom 1 - 2 Chelsea
West Ham 2 - 2 Everton

There's only one Keano! Brilliant performance from Robbie capping off a decent win, although we were dominated by Blackburn.

Very useful win for the Spuds that, though very much against the run of play.

Handy win alright, Sunderland are well and truly down, can't defend like that and expect to be in the Premiership, same applies for Portsmouth. At least when you're not able to back it up at the other end with goals.

Not surprisingly Mick McCarthy has been sacked as Sunderland manager, won't make a bit of difference but understandable after his comments where he sounded like he'd given up any hope and that's not going to do his job opportunity much good with any chairman.

Your Mob didn't do us any favours today losing to ManUre, didnt see much of the game just the second Rooney goal.

final score 2-0

5minutes of madness has cost us a crucial point/points

First Alonso gets sent off after a number of crazy tackles

Then Gerrard plays a lovely through ball to HENRY! :wall:  who's one out with the keeper and he does what he does best.

Final score Arsenal 2 Liverpool 1

Ref was daft today, was harsh on Alonso for the second yellow, but there was a foul on Fabregas in the buildup to the equaliser. Deserved Arsenal win though.

How about Viduka's goal last night?.............what a beauty!!

Thats about his third this year in the running for goal of the year.

What a result from tonights game, great seeing 3 of our strikers on the score sheet... and fantastic to see Robbie Fowler finally get his goal....

I was talking to Dan (StHelens) before the game kicked off, and said I thought Fowler would score tonight... and what a result...

Liverpool 5 - 1 Fulham

Glad to Mori score as well maybe this could boost his confidence, he needs so desperatly, we see little bits of the Mori of Old, but nothing substantial, would like to see him score some more now...

And also good to see one of the younger players score...

Boumsong you are a proper clod, but such a relief to see him sent off and a straight red to boot so a 3 match ban, not too pleased that he gave away the penalty but at least he can't play in the cup game at Chelsea.

Gerard's goal was impressive, some quality buildup play.

Really impressed by how professional Liverpool were, also very clinical when it came to the build up play... One of the Best performances i have seen.. Also good to see even when they were 2 - 0 up they were still looking for another, still pressing Newcastle, even tho Newcastle's goal was offside they were very unlucky with some of the earlier calls, which made up for that.... Pleased to see Cisse on the scoresheet even though it was through a penalty, but there was no need for his actions after scoring and could of quite easily been sent off for some of his actions, unless something drastic happens in the last couple of games of the season, I cant see Cisse playing for Liverpool next season... Would of liked to of seen Fowler and Crouch play, but guess Rafa wanted to rest Crouch for the game on Tuesday likewise with Morrientes and Gerrard... Garcia played well, but could of done a bit better with a few of his shots, but he did impress slightly...

The result that made my weekend even better was Fulham 1 - 0 Chelsea, Well played by Fulham, kept there game together no matter what Chelsea chucked at them, and I still would like to know how the ref and his assistant saw that handball by Drogba, but what a great call, good judgement... the part that ruined the game to me, was the pitch invasion at the end by some fans, i did think this had been stoped in premiership football, i expect Fulham will get a fine for it, but you cant blame the fans for getting excited even tho there is no call for invading the pitch... I felt Terry and Drogba should of been sent off tho, especially the constant holding up and imaginary card, and also drogba and his watch, telling the ref to add more time for the braul that chelsea started at the end of the game... It was a fantastic result for fulham, as they are in contention for the relegation battle, gives them a few points to help make them a bit more safe...

Little Luis looks back to his best, great game from him..... class goal from Kewell aswell.

As for Newcastle, I told An Tarbh that Craig Moore would be a great addition to the side once he returns from injury ...... i was dead on there
