Transfers 2013/14

hah, NOPE.

Robson's coming along very nicely, already starting the process of displacing Cowan.

Wouldn't be too upset with taking Adam Jones off the Ospreys hands though. :p

To be fair - in his last season in NZ he was easily the better halfback between him and Ellis. Was likely to be an All Black ahead of Ellis before choosing Samoa. Also - for Bay of Plenty he played quite a bit at fly half and looked good there - though his best position is halfback. Part of the reason for his late entrance to Super Rugby was that he played for Tasman in the NPC - certainly hard to look good there.

I'd say since 2010 he's looked like one of the best scrum halves going - really only got up North noticed when Osprays signed him and had a great RWC.

If he was easily the better halfback then how come he only started a mere 3 games in his last Super Rugby season? And just 12 in the 3 seasons before and benched behind Ellis for all the knockout games during his Crusaders career as well.

Also some seem to forget he didn't start off well at the Ospreys, he took time to settle in and Ospreys fan Cyril called him "dreadful" at one point (http://www.therugbyforum.com/forum/...o-retire-at-end-of-season&p=477761#post477761), before he got back onto top over the past 6 or 7 months. Don't get me wrong, he's a massively huge loss for the Ospreys and has helped Biggar hugely and will be hard to replace and is a class scrum half, but other than the past few months where he's been perhaps the iinternational scrum half of the year, the fact is for most of his career he hasn't been considered quite so highly, and wasn't even really considered New Zealand's best.

Cyril is a lifelong Sale fan really

I did say that and with good reason. The majority of his first season with us Genghis was awful. Kicked too much, slow at the breakdown and his distribution was shocking; with Webb a quicker and more accurate option for us. This year has been a complete role-reversal and he has been brilliant this season but his popularity still isn't universal, with a few people I know glad that he's gone. I think they're mad personally but it shows that he isn't everbody's cup of tea.

EDIT: "Hook, suffering with bronchitis, a severe limp, both arms tied behind his back and his knob hanging off is still better than that shithead Biggar..." - I also said this, which I find quite amusing now. :P

Kahn was pretty average for most of his first season, but still always has been better than Webb, who imo got capped basically just from the fact he was made to look better than he was behind a dominant Ospreys pack.

Also Webb I remember was chosen to start the Pro 12 final (sounds strange now that there was actually a debate between who of the two should start) and his most memorable contribution was to throw a ridiculous quick lineout.

You have done well to find people who are glad he's gone by the way, as the Ospreys will now likely be stuck with Webb as first choice ... unless Habberfield turns out to be decent.

Probably because as I said - he wasn't rated that highly until 2010 - and he consistantly had leg and back injuries during that kept him out much of the season. When he did play he was brilliant. Ellis was also an All Black at the time.

He probably wasn't considered better than Weepu while he was here (as Weepu was class in 2010) - and I always probably preferred Alby Mathewson - but most people would have taken him over Mathewson, Ellis or Leonard. My point being - he was hardly a discovery in Wales - his last few seaons, bar the injuries - he was considered a class player who probably would have made the All Blacks. Similar to Jarred Payne I suppose. He was also brilliant for Hawkes Bay in his last few seasons.

Fissler on twitter saying that he's heard that Kvesic has signed for Gloucester and might be announced tomorrow. Get in!

Savage, Kvesic, Morgan + Qera, Kalamafoni

Be afraid. Be very afraid.<script async="" src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script><iframe id="rufous-sandbox" allowtransparency="true" style="display: none;" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Is this the same guy who said Parling had signed for glous. ;)

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! we can't lose kvesic to Gloucester its not right at all

I blame Moody this was his comment “It’s tough on Matt because I know he wants to stay loyal, but unless things change soon at Worcester if he really wants to move on as a player then it will need to be at another club.â€

Oh dear man...on the bright side: 1) Not confirmed yet 2) At least he's not going to Tiggers or Sarries?

There'd been a rumour that Poff was leaving Wasps so rumours were abounding that Kvesic was going to be his replacement. wishful thinking.

On another note, I wish the welsh players would stop thinking they have to either play in France or Wales... what about England :). I.e, Gethin Jenkins forget Cardiff Blues, come to Wasps :)

I thought Welsh players were overrated...

Because if you're gonna leave home, you're gonna make like Blackadder and head straight for the massive bag of cash and french porn. Also, London or the French Riviera? Hmmm... hmmm... HMMM... I'm surprised we've managed to keep everyone!

OI! I seriously don't think that at all, I just highlighted the fact that England are hardly the only ones who hype their players, and also, that the media hypes Welsh players more than the Welsh do themselves :)

Haha Peat not even London... its High Wycombe! The most god awful place on earth... sorry if anybody lives there. Wasps really need to get out of Adams Park though.
