URC 2024 - Round 10

Irish ref in the Munster game was shocking too. Never seen him before.

Hope he falls upward to the point that he can't ref Irish teams at all. A future Andrew Brace for the world to hate and us to ignore.

Scarlets very poor yet again tonight. They showed some fight for 60min, then fell apart with their conditioning a real worry. How many Scarlets players were showing signs of cramp, even 25-30min. before the final whistle? The amount of basic errors they make is also very amateur.

Peel and the rest of the cosches have to go imo. The squad they have to work with isn't the best, but they're still playing well below the sum of their parts, and there's no excuse for poor defensive and offensive structures, and a lack of fitness!

Ref in our game is registered to SRU.
He is from Dublin but I'd say 1% of his reffing was in Dublin and rest was in Scotland. He must be based there over 10 years.

Conditions were very poor tonight. Not sure how it looked on tv but it was cold wet and miserable

Only saw highlights but a much needed result for us. Not that it was unexpected really. Some big players back for us.

Very scrappy, I like the idea of the BaaBaa socks but really serving as a stark reminder of the dominance of Michael's and Rock.

Poor half. No one really putting a hand up.

A lot of players straight poor, Mcerlean going ok. Boyle playing well. Turner and Penny as well. Everyone else meh to poor. Ross struggling bad. Osbourne up and down.

Disappointing for the two clear best teams in the comp

Prendergast going to be hard for the Byrnes and then Crowley to hold off. He understands how to manipulate defences and run through phases already which is incredibly impressive.

Once he's physically at the level he'll soon be world class.

He has played well but will be interesting to see how long it is before he a regular in Leinster. History shows if he isn't there as a fixed player in 23 come end off next season he could stagnate

Can't see that happening. He's the best ball in hand 10 we have, it's a matter of bulking up and getting more explosive before he's the starter.

No one has stamped their name on the 10 jersey this season and Ross won't shut the door.

Provided injuries don't slow him down he'll be getting capped in 2025.

Sorry meant for Leinster. Like Prendergast needs to be a certain man in 23 by May 2025 or else it will effect him hugely.
Certainly at moment he is a baller and a very good 10.
Regards Ireland Prendergast will be getting capped on Summer tour of 2025 regardless but maybe earlier.
But realistically Leinster won't hold all 3. Byrne x2 and Prendergast as all are too good to be 3rd choice 10s. On presumption Frawley gone in Summer.
So who will go

If Farrell sticks with HB for the 6n and SA tour, Ross will be on the blower to French clubs.

I think ROG is a fan.

Scarlets were extremely embarrassingly poor in the second-half. Wtf is up with them? Dragons have been disgracing themselves so far too, conceding two converted tries in the opening three minutes!🥵

Warriors trampled Dragons 40-7.

Glasgow improves to 7-3. 1708204705982.png

**** me, Ospreys are 7th after beating Ulster. Lovely last second drop goal by the young Dan Edwards to get the win.
Saw that they got the win. S4C are showing it later tonight, so I'll have to catch-up. Dan Edwards continuing to impress which is great to see. For the U20's last year I was concerned he might be another 'flashy' 10 lacking the game management side of things, but if anything it's been that game management that's stood our to far this season for the Ospreys.

Real shame that Cardiff haven't been able to translate their close games into wins like the Ospreys have, or they too could be in the upper half of the table and pushing for a playoff place. Crowd and atmosphere looked great at CAP again saturday, despite the weather, so they really need to repay those supporters with some W's soon.
