Will they? I think Cardiff will finish 6th at worst with the bonus point win they picked up tonight. Think that may result in another game vs Stormers? Unless Ospreys can beat Leinster tomorrow, in which case Cardiff would face Leinster.

Or if Munster beat Lions without a bonus point, I think Cardiff would then finish 5th and play Bulls if Bulls beat Bennetton tomorrow.

Or am I miss reading things?

Edit. I think there's a way Cardiff finish 4th but would take Bulls getting nothing out of their game v Bennetton, and Munster beating Lions without a bonus point/draw. Then they would play Bulls at home?
Yes thanks for clarifying this Dull, my app hadn’t updated and I did some bad maths in the aftermath! I mean, any trip to SA is difficult, I’d like to play the stormers again as the bulls did a number on us last time we were out there. Whilst the Stormers would likely do the same as they are a quality team, knowing we fronted up at home would provide some confidence that it’s at least possible.

Some great performances last night across the back line and back row, I think Lloyd really took his chance and got the backline firing and Mulder had his best game in a CardIff jersey. Basham looking every bit like an international player, made ground almost every time. Dan Thomas has been consistently good - big moments all season with turnovers at key times.

If I was running things Lloyd and Basham would already be top 3 in their respective positions and Wales would be a top 3 rugby nation and I’d be on £1m a year and Margot Robbie and Gal Gadot would be my wives.

Ha - Bash is finding his feet here an excellent signing if he can keep his cool. Lloyd is a much better 10 than he is a fullback so you can blame the Scarlets for this mismanagement of him for that.

And Margot and Gal. This level of greed is off the scale.

Cardiff play better when Mann is out. With Costelow and Evans out Hawkins and Lloyd should be fighting it out with Edwards for 10. James should be 12 obviously. Don’t worry. I’ve emailed Tandy.

Looks like he has a black eye anyway.

Unsure of the call against Casey keeping the ball in from the kick
Looks like Law 18.2 part d

18.2
The ball is not in touch or touch-in-goal if:

a. The ball reaches the plane of touch but is caught, knocked or kicked by a player who is in the playing area.

b. A player jumps, from within or outside the playing area, and catches the ball, and then lands in the playing area, regardless of whether the ball reached the plane of touch.

c. A player jumps from the playing area and knocks (or catches and releases) the ball back into the playing area, before landing in touch or touch-in-goal, regardless of whether the ball reached the plane of touch.

d. A player, who is in touch, kicks or knocks the ball, but does not hold it, provided it has not reached the plane of touch.

Ball was past plane of touch when he touched it and he didn't catch it. imo.

Why is Frawley going West? Please, please, please explain….
Frawley got a lot of heat for a poor showing when subbed on with Ireland v NZ in autumn 2024. With Ireland and unfairly with Leinster. Once Prendo was elevated to main man Frawley felt he could not be sure of ever winning no10.
Mistake by Leinster. He should arguably be starting for Leinster.

Wish Munster had kicked that last penalty which would have allowed 4 Irish teams in a Champions Cup next year should Ulster win the Challenge cup. Time was up anyway after the minute played out.

He was awful in the second half of last season and start of this season for Leinster. Improved massively around the time his contract was signed.

Very handy player to have in the squad but his utility is his best ability, won't be tearing up trees as a starting 10 in Connacht I don't think or ever be anything more than no. 23 for Ireland (which is obviously still a hell of an accomplishment).

Good to win that on Saturday. We have salvaged something from this awful season at least. Casey was absolutely excellent again. When he's on he is so sharp. Hanrahan picked a good time to have one of his better games too. Praying Crowley gets his injury sorted out though, pulling out a few times in a row is worrying. Haley was really solid too and a few of our young forwards had great games, especially O'Connell.

That's almost certainly us done for the season, but to be honest Bulls are gettable. If we had any sort of consistency and form I would think we can give it a rattle.
