So, apparently there is a lot of social media noise about the drop of foot fall and traffic around LA since ICE started their current operation.

Yes I know this article is trying to disprove it, but it does so badly, and my point isn't really around the actual claims, but the noise being made.

Im sure a lot of these are conservative accounts, but the average voter, we already know agrees with deportations, every study has found from 55% to 68% are on board (ish), the noise that's being made, will highlight to the average undecided voter the benefits of less immigration, and they will perceive every quick journey and positive experience to it, whether its true or not that's how the human mind works.

Is California being tilted Republican by Trump?

I wonder why the Americans just don't understand that the EU doesn't buy American cars and food purely because they either don't comply and are below with our standards or because, in the case of cars, nobody wants them.

The US needs to up the quality and standards of their products, not us and the EU lower our standards just to appease them.

Also the ridiculous attitude of the USA thinking "we can punch you, but you can't punch back." The world needs to unite against this pathetic bullying behaviour. It's already been proven his reasons for tariffs are bullshit because he changes them for different nations, even applying them to nations the USA had a trade surplus with.

Tarrifs are because fentanyl (because he can only impose tarrifs if there's an emergency).
25kg of Fentanyl from Canada = 35% tariffs
600kg of Fentanyl from Mexico = 30% tariffs

Is that down to existing trade agreements? I can't imagine we were sending much fentanyl (or any other drug) over there before he threatened tariffs
 
Oh, it's nothing at all to do with fentanyl, that's just the smoke screen that got him the "right" to impose tarrifs on Canada and Mexico (because Canada doesn't want to be American, and Mexico... Has a border with USA).
All the other tarrifs are (I'm told) illegal*... except that ""it's not illegal if the president does it" means that no-one's prepared to even try to stop it.


* IIRC it's Congress that can do that

Wrong. Read the constitution.
