Going to start my GoT binge watch on the weekend to get myself ready for new season.

Jesus I hadn't realised it was this soon, how the time's flown. Will most certainly be staying up for this. Very tempted to use the 2 1/2 months of holiday remaining to rewatch the previous seasons.

So the author has written more material for the tv series that hasn't been published yet?

From what i remember he's given them a vague plotline to take them up to the end, and then he has to OK all of their stories

So the series and books will end up in the same place, and stop off at the places along the way, But the journeys won't be identical
