Your team predicted squad for the world cup

That's a very nice and mellow way of saying "That's a very strange opinion that virtually no one will agree with because it's balls"... Toner's been a damn effective international and will probably go into history as one of Ireland's better. That said, if Henderson keeps playing like this, I think he might force the issue (despite bringing an ideal balance to the squad at 19); his work rate and physicality have been huge.

Also find it odd you say Ireland need to stop thinking of Madigan as a 10 then pick a 23 in which Madigan is the 10 cover... also, Jordi Murphy ahead of Heaslip?

Dull - I think Namibia, USA, Argentina and Fiji were the only countries to travel with only 2 scrum-halves to the last World Cup; I doubt, even with the new rules, that too many will be travelling with only 2 this time.

Not odd at all. Madigan's main position with Ireland should be 12. The beauty being if needs be, he could move into 10 in the last 10 mins if Johnny needed to come off, or, in a worse case scenario, if Johnny gets injured, he could go into 10. However, right now, Madigan is more or less a bench player used for 10. Rarely does he come on for 12. Primarily he should be a 12, with the option, if needs be, to move into 10. Right now, he's just on the bench as 10.
It's actually kind of a shame about Keatley, too. If Madigan hadn't switched around as much, Keatley may have had a shot at the replacement 10. But he doesn't get enough test match time.
And yes, I think it's time Murphy was given a shot. He's been really good lately. Heaslip is good too, but he has no spark. Just my personal opinion.

Sorry, misread your original post on Madigan.

And, well, for my money it's not a shame about Keatley as he's not good enough, and Keatley's problem isn't Madigan; its Jackson. It's not that Schmidt won't select specialist 10s on the bench (and besides, Keatley's versatility isn't much short of Madigan's), it's that Jackson is a better specialist 10 than Keatley, not that Jackson's been properly fit for much of the last year.

Murphy ahead of Heaslip shouldn't and won't happen, Heaslip and O'Connell are far and away our top forwards, Murphy is a great bench option. I don't want Madigan at 12 either, he has looked good there at Leinster at times but it's helped because he is effectively playing as a 10-12 hybrid due to Jimmy Gopperth's general ****eness. Madigan is a good guy to have in the squad but wouldn't be in my 23.

Mate of mine went to school with Jackson, said he is a lovely guy and real professional. Doesn't add anything to conversation but thought I'd name drop :p

Nah it won't happen, just something I would like to see. I think Murphy is one to watch. Don't agree about him playing a 10-12 at Leinster. We've all got our opinions.

Just Posting Team that i want to see,

1.) Dan Cole
2.) Jamie George (Now Dylan's gone and i don't trust youngs at set piece, hence look how good sarries set piece is)
3.) Joe Marler or Mako Vunipola (if back from injury)
4.) George Kruis
5.) Courtney Lawes (Solid Pairing)
6.) Sam Burgess ( Personaly i would have robshaw here and Armitage at 7, but between burgess, haskell and wood.)
7.) Chris Robshaw
8.) Ben Morgan/Billy Vunipola (if morgs is back)

9.) Ben Youngs
10.) Owen Farrell (My heart is saying Ford but brain says Farrell, Also Ford would be a much better impact player, can change the game, Two quality 10's)
11.) Anthony Watson
12.) Brad Barritt
13.) Jonothan Joseph
14.) Jack Nowell (Though Strettle or Yarde Would be close, Up for grabs position)
15.) Mike Brown

My Team. :)

personally would go for Youngs over George, otherwise looks good (might want to swap Marler and Cole around).

Lacking some international experience I know but I believe these players have the capacity to perform on the day.

Can't really argue with that as a team I'd like to see possibly an in-form Care as opposed to a in-form Youngs in the starting line up but the backline gives me chills thinking about it ;)

Swap The Oik for Ford and bring Barritt in at 12 and we are there for Lancaster's selection!!!!

I think despite last weekend Lancaster is going to have hard time explaining why the darling boy of the 6 nations has been dropped. Which is why I did what I did GN10 said just after the 6N that Fazlet will start at 12 and the argument convinced me that was before Tualangi was dropped. If that isn't what Lancaster try's in the warm up matches I'll be surprised.

1. Marler
2. Youngs
3. Cole
4. Launchberry
5. Lawes
6. Itoje
7. Robshaw
8. Vunipola
9. Youngs

17. Vunipola
18. Brookes
19. Attwood
20. Morgan
21. Wiggle
22. Farrell
23. Slade

Exactly what I would pick, apart from I'd have 14 as Roko, 16 as George and 23 as J May

1. Vunipola- his scrummaging looks pretty good now, he turned the screw on Wilson anyway, and he offers so much in the loose
2. Youngs
3. Cole
4. Attwood- obviously Launchbury-Lawes is an amazing partnership, but the maul could be a brilliant weapon for England and, on form, he improves them a lot
5. Launchbury
6. Robshaw - won't happen, but I can dream, dammit
7. Kvesic
8. Vunipola
9. Youngs
10. Ford
11. Nowell
12. Barritt- would be Slade if only for those beautiful long passes against the Barbarians, but he's not quite ready yet
13. Joseph
14. Yarde- he's impressed me recently tbh, really powerful
15. Brown- at this world cup anyway, but Watson should be taking that shirt soon after

16. George- I'd prefer LCD as an impact sub, but matches going to the wire always seem to end with mauls and I'd want him throwing
17. Marler
18. Brookes- really good defence and carrying and he's an (ex-)Falcon, sooo...
19. Lawes
20. Morgan
21. Wigglesworth
22. Farrell
23. ?

21. Simpson
22. Slade
23. Watson

This is the team I'd go with not what I believe SL will choose.
