BBC News - Thames Water halts bosses bonus scheme

First chance they get and the ******** are trying to line the pockets of they're execs even as the company is on the brink of collapse.

Laws need to be changed to make individuals personally liable for more in the event if gross negligence, incompetence or corruption in running companies.

"It said none of these retention payments would be funded by customers."

Can anyone enlighten me as to where the money is coming from?

Bunch of Sweeneys.

Yet more debt, which will be fantastic when the inevitable collapse arrives.

Whoever came up with "retention payments" needs a punch in the face

One could almost think that, in reality, they're full of bile & bullshit!

So Trumps department of justice is now charging a sitting Democrat lawmaker for assault based on a bit of pushing that occurred at a detention centre (that they were barred entry to despite being allowed to as federal members of Congress) and Trumps head of homeland security has no idea what habeus corpus means.

Something something 4D chess, or just maybe these are all autocratic idiots...

PMQs a mess Badenoch just isn't up to it. Starmer says they'll change the winter fuel threshold and rather than try to get to commit to reversing it completely she just goes on about U-Turn.

She's worse than Corbyn at landing a genuine blow.

If and when it goes into Special Administration, the administrators will be able to go after the directors and payees for misfeasance, claw back preferential payments and transactions at undervalue and breach of duties under the Insolvency Act 86 and Companies Act '06

The Insolvency Service will be going after disqualification orders as well

"hands up who wanted winter fuel cuts"

Sadly Starmer doesn't give obvious answer "Of course no one wanted to do it but we had to because of policies of the party opposite"

Can't see her lasting for much longer beyond, say, party conference season. The daggers are out in some quarters already but once they all get together and sharpen them she's ******

They're doing it for points scoring, a bit trump like, claiming they've got rid of this and that so they've fulfilled their "promises" to the sycophantic voters when in reality they've not done anything.

I'll put money on they'll hawk these "achievements" in the next election cycle as proof of their endeavours and righteous standing.

You argued Trump can't be an idiot precisely because he WASN'T held to account. You've also claimed the lack of charges are evidence of a witch hunt and sensationalism rather than corruption.

You can't state you want to hold leaders to account and then reel off a list of excuses every time someone tries to do exactly that with Trump.

Ok, that was a hard turn away from the issue lol.

When have I not held Trump accountable?
I've constantly criticised him, I just don't accept the criticism that is manufactured pearl clutching and lies...

There are 3 stories a week titled Trump is finished, or Trump officially crosses a line, and there is always at very least enough grey area to write these stories off lol

From deporting illegal gang members and naming him 'Maryland man', deporting sick cancerous American citizen children, without acknowledging the illegal mothers chose to take the children with them, to what now, Mciver in a crowd of activists, protesters and journalists looking to cause trouble at a detention centre being deemed 'Trump's arresting lawmaker'

I am very clear, pin him on what he does, not on largely fabricated stories designed to constantly chip away at his reputation, that strategy has failed for a decade, it's time for something new!
