Yes. Violence leads to violence. Look at Brazil. Do you think locking up Luna and now Bolsonaro will lead to good things?

For Omar, I do not agree with her, but I would gladly die to maintain her right to speak. If there were a war tomorrow, I would volunteer to protect her. That is how you preserve a Republic: by being willing to give your life to it.

On a serious note, what kind of leeway will Trump be given going forward by Democrats.

I fully expect him to respond '**** you, but Charlie Kirk' to every criticism, I also suspect you may be right in that he will absolutely clamp on groupd like Antifa (thats a weird sentence, how has that become a thing).

But where does this lie constitutionally, surely theres a first amendment concern. Ive said it before, Republicans are going to be crying when the next Democrat president uses powers that Trump has widened, this may very well be one of those.

It was a genuine question, bit like here with the Prevention of terrorism act. You are possibly using legislation that's not meant for it's intended purpose.

I'm from Northamptonshire saying we have prestigious schools is like saying you'll find three wise men and a virgin in Chicago.

I'm not saying it was treason. I'm simply wondering if it will get upgraded. The clearest reason, IMO, is Charlie Kirk was the leader of a movement which the state reps were not.

Propaganda man. I didn't realize how bad it's gotten over there. The wolves have captured the sheep.

Treason is quite limited in the US according to your constitution.

Article III, Section 3:

"Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort".

Kirk's shooting clearly doesn't come under any of that banner. It was out and out murder, nothing more.
