It always feels the same, we know they did it, they know we know, but the laws and procedures protect them enough that there are never serious consequences.

We also have two tier tolerance. People are up in arms about taxpayer money being wasted on migrant hotels but the same people don't bat an eyelid when a white British person is on the fiddle for a serious sum of taxpayers money.
Same goes for when that Asian shopkeeper was terrorised by that white teenage girl. Can you imagine if that had been the other way around? Yaxley Lennon and Farage would have filled their boots but in this case it was radio silence.

It's more an acceptance issue. These things are so common people just shrug and move on. Look at the comments here where we all sit on slightly different scales of the political spectrum.
The majority probably feel the system is different for 'them and us'. That most politicians will lie and cheat for some sort of gain. It about keeping or gaining wealth and power. Trust in politics is shot to pieces. .

Definitely saved a lot of people, especially if the reports of a suicide vest turn out to be true

Says st the end how we’re all sleep walking to a far right government and the left need to get its act together. Ironically he is helping them win.

He and others from the Novara crowd got there passes revoked and banned day of Starmers speech. MP's saying asking questions was harassment etc.
They all went on a massive moan about Labour being like Reform and stopping journalists doing there job. NUJ now getting involved about the banning of journos and so on.

You see the same with the far left in America. Would rather slag off Harris and Biden and Trump win than get behind a candidate that they are more aligned with but because they don’t scream about geocodes and have the purist take on trans issues then they aren’t worth listening to and you might as well let the right win.

I was thinking about what @Ragey Erasmus said wrt to combatting Reform and I 100% agree with him in principle but I honestly don't know how you combat Reform. Everyone knows they are a single issue immigration party and while I'm not sure, my gut says around 80% of people honestly don't care about anything other than the immigration "problem" being "sorted"
I think if you said to a lot of people they'll be no change to education, health, wealth gap, transport etc etc but we'll deport loads of immigrants they'll be happy as Larry.
