I mean, thats what hes done from the start no? Hes even resculpted foreign policy in the middle east to transactional and utilising financial pressures and incentives as opposed to militarily, he is afyer all a business man first, politician 2nd (maybe 3rd).

This is just so ******* ridiculous... Trump and the Republicans have created a new level of shameless partisan hypocrisy. The same administration that openly and repeatedly advocated gerrymandering is now suing a state for gerrymandering.
Hang on, this argument isnt about partisan politics is it, they arent arguing about gerrymandering, because this is not gerrymandering in a partisan way.
Now i havnt fully researched, but drawing racial lines does violate the equal protection clause of 14th. Democrats have called this action and prop 50 is about racial fairness.
So the question is, the court needs to decide whether this gerrymandering is about racial fairness (as sold to the people) or as Newsome describes a reaction to Texas. Who knows how they will side....
How TF is gerrymandering even a thing, cracking and packing is a disgrace, thisnis one of the few ocxasions i think Congress needs to abolish this, it cant be left to the states or politicians any longer! Its essentially like leaving the lions watch the meat freezer!

You have to comend her consistency though, noone else has been brave enough to combat Trump, especially on the Epstain files, shes called for the release and transparency from the off.

I think this is a pretty valid issue, Trump has absolutely gone to war with higher education....
The question is, is this war to capture education, or free it from capture?
There are arguments for both, i dont think there will ever be a time that education wont have a left leaning bias, due to the traits of those that go into it as a profession, but it really depends on your viewpoint of how far is too far.

You'd hope the American public can see through Trump and the Republicans digging their heels like their lives depended on it when Trump said he didn't want it to suddenly flipping en masse the second it was clear they weren't going to be able to prevent it. It stinks of not wanting to appear like they "lost" so they are suddenly on the side that supported the release...
They can't keep their story straight. When Biden was in power, Trump and the Republicans were all over the Epstein stuff thinking it gave them political capital and a weapon to use against Democrats. They get in power and suddenly about turn on the issue. After years of screeching about how it was the biggest deep state scandal, they all said it was a nothing burger, a Democrat hoax, real but only Democrats were involved etc.
I personally think they are going to vote for it and look for a way to sabotage the information release and then try to blame Democrats for something being "lost" or covered up. They realised if they didn't have the votes to stop the release, the worst thing was to vote to stop it but it happening anyway. It's little more than damage limitation.

It amazes me how you infer the most heinous actions from Trump while totally ignoring the Biden administration acting pretty much the exact same as Trump has acted on the files...
The DOJ said there was no bomb shell info or client list of any sort, that info was fine when said in 2024, but when coming from Republican mouths its untrustworthy lol.
I personally am happy that the votes came in for release, and i cant wait to read about the REDACTED of REDACTED, when he got REDACTED to REDACTED his REDACTED all over Nancy's REDACTED.

During the entire Biden administration there were appeals going on. The appeals did not conclude until October 6, 2025, 9 months after the Biden administration ended.
On October 6, 2025, the Supreme Court denied Maxwell's petition for certiorari.[1] With Maxwell's appeals exhausted, the legal barrier to unsealing documents is removed.
During ongoing appeals, courts could and did unseal Epstein-related documents if they deemed no prejudice to proceedings, as evidenced by batches released in 2020 and 2024 from the Giuffre-Maxwell civil case.
Legally, no other evidence could have been released until October 6, 2025, due to ongoing appeals.

Its a shame which tyler doesnt read my posts, hed have read the DOJ statements and the excuse of victim privacy instead of wasting his time linking to a Maxwell wont appeal article lol.
DOJ cleared that there was nothing to see in 2024, then pushed for release in 2025 (and they say it isnt policised lol).
