A Political Thread pt. 2

I appreciate you and everyone on here. I may disagree with certain perspectives and interpretations but I know you and others are coming at this from a completely normal and reasonable standpoint of
Not wanting innocent people to die, which they undeniably are.

Not going for sympathy here and this is obviously not war related but I've seen a 2 year old family member of mine die in a violent way and seen him bleed out. It's something that will naturally stay with me for life and I can only imagine what it must be like to hold your own child dying in your arms. I well up when I see an oxfam advert on tv let alone seeing the horrors in Gaza with parents pulling their kids out of rubble.
I think I know where you're coming from?

I haven't seen today as an argument and I'm sorry if you have. Pretty decent exchange of views when you consider there wasn't a pint, a walnut table, a urinal or a Harry involved (and none of us can change a thing really)

I mean, I will be combatative if I feel strongly and call you a **** if I think you're being one and I ain't gone to those lengths

Not sure what my point is other than .... I dunno. I'm not a hostile party?

This has to be the worst post on here ever

I actually think this is a great little corner of the internet and while there's only like a dozen of us I feel we can appreciate each others genuine views and not be dicks about it.

Let's just not bring up the last wales England game otherwise we could seriously fall out. Let's get our priorities right.

CNN really are a confusing company at times, they produced hysterics on April 8th, then a sane article like this talking about market recovery, while highlighting the hysterics of April 8th...

Then I watch a round table where they have all gone full Republican mode, when discussing GM and Heinz investing billions in manufacturing back the the US, making the argument if the companies don't make big profit, then the cost will be past on to the consumer hahahahaha

Hopefully the markets stabilise for a while now, I'm short of cash in hand to throw in after Crypto and Gold investments of 5th November, and then the crash of April 8th.

The strategy of 'what would Michael o leary do' keeps me going lol

Trump tells Walmart to 'eat the tariffs' as retailer expects prices to increase

I thought I misread the ***le then, until I realised it was Trump taxing major corporations and not AOC or Bernie!

An extra 100B per year in the coffers, but at what cost to who? Could Trump get Walmart on board, as he did GM who agreed to eat the tarriffs, I mean 'where Walmart go others follow'...

Let's not follow the USA's example of "Prisoners = Slave Labour"

Pretty please

Hmm. Kinda agree and kinda disagree.

Taking jobs that should go to someone else - not cool.
Costing so much to house them in prison and prison being so cushy as to not act as a deterrent to many - not cool either.

But taking them out of prison to do work will likely cost a lot more in security detail etc than just paying someone 15-20 quid an hour to do the job.

Forced to work without pay and presumably subject to further punishment if you refuse. Sounds familiar.

And there it is. Badenoch saying we're becoming a rule taker from Brussels once again. Farage up next no doubt to stir up more EU contempt amongst Reform voters.

I'm still waiting for the £350m per week being pumped into the NHS like they promised. Didn't they also warn us that the Turks were coming?

a tory party leader who doesn't understand how 'deals' work, imagine.
