Conman Smith

Hey shitniz - sorry shiznit.
You seem a little teste there.
I agree - I'm not an AB coach. But you ain't either. In fact ....what are you?

By the way - football is a game that is played in England. 11 a side.Arsenal, Man U etc....

Rugby Union is what we talk about on this forum.

We need a good defensive center, and the two best are still in new zealand.

i also agree... im not an all black coach either... but it seems i share similar thoughts in regards to conrad smith... i dont agree with everything they do though... im still dirty on Andy Ellis getting a spot in the squad. but whats done is done... we need to get behind them now...

By the way - youve been on these boards for 3 or so months and your telling me what i can talk about on this forum?? :toss:

remember your place newbie!! B)

Whoever think Mils "possibly the best fullback in the world" Muliaina should play at centre deserves to be shot.

What idiot would play a guy as calm and collective as Mils at centre, where his talents are much needed at 15?!?! It's astonishing to think MacDonald can do the same job as him at the rear guard.

Best scenario is Smith @ 13 and Mils @ 15, make no mistake about it.

carlosisgod........ yes the job listing does require tackling as you say, but hold on, how come Toeava never pulls his weight in this area. Smith actually carries a solid work load all round the park, Toeava is as useless as ***s on a ball and the odds of him hitting form regularly is a lottery.

You talk utter *****.

I dont think either of these two centres can be justified with their average performances so far.

Mils is my choice. That said, I prefer him more at FB.
So much for depth.

Well strike me down and shoot those fools Henry and Smith. They were the ones who played Mils at centre 6 times during 2006; more starts than he got at fullback. The only reason they haven't done it this year is because McD has been injured.
What, you mean being calm and collective is not a quality needed at centre? Much needed at fullback; my arse. McD has played 50 tests and is in superb form. Smith has played only 11, and has shown f#!k all in those. You are full of **** and your English is appalling!!!! It's really not worth reading any comments made by someone who has so obviously had a sub standard education.

Yes, that is exactly what I mean. And how is my English appalling? If I am going to offend pedantic ***** like your self (with my apparent bad use of English, please direct to where I went wrong) I promise I will take much more care just to keep you happy. Sub standard education, what do you know about my education? Now mate, I'm really not going to bother with tossers like you throwing around half assed statements like that, especially that it being far from true.

Might want to settle down there fella.

Back on topic, what evidence has Toeava shown which makes him better than Smith? Cold dropped balls with the try line begging? A very average defensive game? His pathetic excuse for a pass? Your full of absolute ****. Smith may not be in the league of the O'Driscolls, Mortlocks, Jauzions of this world, but Toeava surely isn't.

MacDonald may be in superb form, but why in the hell would you take out a guy like Mils at fullback? Even if it is MacDonald, it is ridiculous. Especially when we have a player like Smith in the midfield who is so much better than Toeava. You really are an idiot, not only in your logic behind playing Mils at 13, but the fact you go on the offensive and have a bad case of verbal diarrhea really sums you up. **** sack.

um actually he made a very impressive debut against italy, and was actually the favorite to cover center for the world cup after he was impressive in the end of year tour last year. He's been off lately because he's had injuries throughout the year. I do admit he's in this squad based on reputation because he was picked even though the guy has hardly played a decent 1st class game this year.

I see him at this point as a safety option, he's done nothing wrong in my eyes so far, he just hasn't stood out

Yet again your poor intellect leaves you sounding like a dotard. If you would care to read the replies carefully (maybe need some practice) you will note that I have never said Toeava is better than anyone. That was carlosisgod123. Dog breath.

OH. MY. GOD. No ****. If you read properly, you would have realised by know I'm arguing your ridiculous idea of playing Mils at canter. I am also addressing the fact that our only other specialist 13 (Toeava) is not an option also. Hence leaving Smith as the only logical choice. If you had any intelligence, you would realise I am looking at the wider picture. The thread isn't directed to your comments is it? It was carlos who started the thing after all.

Dog breath? My god your an intellect aren't you. Yet I'm the one with appalling English. I will say it again, your a **** sack.

'your' is not the same as the abbreviated form of you are. Common mistake for high school dropouts.
Look mate. You are writing these comments, I'm just responding to them. Just make sure they are accurate and don't expect others to correctly interpret your(note the correct usage)scattered and poorly linked ideas. You falsely accuse me of supporting Toeava and then try to tell me I should have realised you were talking about something else???????????? Maybe your boyfriend understands you!!

I'm going to tell everyone involved in this thread - cut the personal slanging match, or I'll simply lock this thread.

This section is for talking rugby, not hurling insults. Do that on your own time.

Where's everyone gone now?

Oh well just to keep it simple:

Centre:

Conrad Smith > Isaia Toeava

Mils Muliaina > Conrad Smith / Isaia Toeava

Fullback:

Mils Muliaina > Leon McDonald

I agree with your formulae. So, what's your centre fullback pairing?

Wairarapa Cullen. You were the first to take your comments outside of rugby and into personal.
"You talk utter *****."

Bjok. You have retaliated and escalated things with your response.
"You are full of **** and your English is appalling!!!! It's really not worth reading any comments made by someone who has so obviously had a sub standard education."

The subsequent posts are all likely to find their way to the trash soon and a banning will likely follow if you can't demonstrate a civil attitude to differing opinions.

Get back to the issue, and by the way, no-one is especially right one way or the other over this. It is a very subjective issue.

Sorry Webby, just saw your action above. Missed it during my haste to ask these guys to pull their heads in.

It's quite clear that most Wellingtonians and Canes supporters will go for Smith while all the Aucklanders will go for Toeava.

It's a dead-end.

Conclusion:

Smith = Toeava

Hope everyone is fooking happy now....but please know this.

Muliaina >>>>> Smith = Toeava

Again, I agree; Muliaina> Smith=Toeava at centre and Muliaina>McD at fullback, but where does that leave us with the fullback/centre pairing.
As far as I'm concerned; Muliaina & McD = world class; Smith & Toeava = Super 12 class
Therefore play the 2 world class players.

I think I'll reserve my judgement on Smith until he's had some quality midfield opposition to play against.

I havn't seen him do anything wrong so far, and realise that his playing style (and the reason he's picked) isn't for flashy/barnstorming play. Rather, the coaches are obviously keen on having a solid defender and strong distributor in an area that has been very troublesome for the AB's for quite some time. I know I'd rather have him in France than back in NZ injured.

So if he struggles in the quarters then I'd be happy to have Mils at centre and McDonald or Evans at 15.

But, if he keeps performing like he is I'm happy for him to keep on doing what he's been doing; setting up space for other players (mainly the outsides), giving the ball to players who are in the team to score tries, keeping the movement of the rush defence line structured and turning over ball at ruck time.

I think his best performances are ahead of him, and not because he has played poorly.

Edit: Conrad Smith has also said recently that the reconditioning during injury has actually left him faster and stronger (apart from his hammies obviously) than he has ever been.
