Mexican anti emo riots

Man I didn't know that the emos were a worldwide fenomenum!
I personally don't like that kind of fashion, but I believe that everyone is free of doing whatever he/she wants with her own body...I do my best to respect them, even if it's difficult not to find them funny lol.

Here in Argentina there is another similar fashion as well...the "flogguers"... I'm sure that my fellow countrymen from this forum have heard of them.
To begin with, they have fotologs, and they are obsessed witht hem. They upload photographs of themselves in front of the mirror and stuff like that. They dress up with tight colorful trousers, shirts with strange designs and their hair is similar to the emos' one...They are difficult to describe...

Probably like the Tecktonick (new dance) people we have in France. Wearing pink stuff, Star spangled sweaters, real slim jeans and all. Ther's also the comeback of the mullet. It's a actually a revival of 80's fashion, can you believe it !

You see, I don't have a problem with Emos.
I mean, i've seen quite a few girls dressed with their Emo fashion and some of them are actually quite cute.
I wouldn't chuck them out of bed, that's for sure...

haha rc

it is a point though, some girls, some, not all, not alot, but some can pull it off.

but in general i hate emos. their music is so awful. and having the black clothes, with flashes of pink and yellow, and really bad haircuts for a fashion - there sheep! want to be diffrent? be diffrent ffs. otherwise, "cheer up emo kid"

The mullet's making a comeback in rugby too, personally it's something i'm quite happy about. I'm getting a haircut soon, gonna keep my mullet' and get a styling crest going along the top of my head. Figure as pre-season is coming to an end I need an aerodynamic haircut; Quade Cooper is a good example, just imagine this hair with a retro mullet.

Emos are just a bunch of faggots. I wouldnt go as far to join a riot or 'I hate emos' club though. I had a punk friend from Germany and a Goth friend and they both hated emos with a passion.

As for the mullet thing be prepared to be ridiculed in the near future when it goes out of fashion.

"This teaches the rest of the world that Mexico is not just a bunch of cactuses and sombreros."

HELL YEAH!

No, but seriously. This is a biiiiig problem here. This movement has turned into a riot. I really dislike this people, but I wouldn't even bother in picking on them. Here in Mexico, emos are the latest trend, whoever was a punk when Blink182 was around is an emokid now. Maybe if someone makes rugby so popular I'd have something to watch on TV...

Besides, I doubt someone would try to pick on a bunch of ruggers haha.

I had a mullet when it wasn't cool, so I've earned the right :D

Fair enough

thats the thing ehy, with punks and grunge rockers, its close to being emo, and to the untrained eye could be mistaken, but there is such a massive diffrence of a lifestyle of a punk/grunge rocker to a emo. punks are into music and into rebellion and into danger and drugs, sex & rock and roll - if you know what i mean. however, emos are into crying, trying to look tuff with makeup, and crying. yet emos try and rough it up with punks, grunge rockers and metalers - and it just doesnt work,

Metalheads are the only sub-culture associated with music that isn't so gay it's soaking with AIDS.

Anyway you know there is an emo porn star? Riley Mason I think her name is, a class act really, i'd have to agree with RC that I wouldn't chuck her out of bed.

I would

After seeing Riley Mason i can only quote Sambad: -

it is a point though, some girls, some, not all, not alot, but some can pull it off.[/b]

Further comments are now redundant...

Would Riley Mason be classified as Emo or Indie though? Indie has much the same style but they aren't as whingey as emos. I mean, it looks like she isn't even a 'cutter', that is the foundation emo girls are built on!

You're right, Ricardo. She's like your every day indie-chick. But I've seen some girls that look like emo-girls, but seem pretty happy looking all slutty and no cuts at all. What are those called?
