RWC 2015 Qualifiying

From what I've read in the FIRA forums, the German embassy denied entry visas to prop Ievhen Chaika and lock Vyacheslav Krasylnyk. No further details have been released. Both are Russian league players.

Though these teams are not eligible for qualifying for RWC, thought it would be a good addition to post these videos. Both look to be like coach's cuts since the in between walking around and all that out of play jazz has been edited out. Lighting is weird, and quality is low, but hey I'm not going to complain.

In light of recent events with the Azerbaijan team, it's good to see some clips of them playing rugby, and a competitive game too! Final was 25-16 Azerbaijan, down for most of the game hit with a converted try in the 76' that capped the scoring.
And it is awesome that it was the Azerbaijan federation that uploaded these!

After a few weeks from RWC-Q matches, Cyprus hosts Slovenia in a ENC 2C/RWC-Q matchup tomorrow (December 8).
The match will be streamed live. The cost to view the stream is 6 euros (the ticket to enter in the stadium is 5 euros).

Now 17 consecutive wins for Cyprus to pass the 2011-12 All Blacks run of 16 wins. Cyprus is now one off from tying the record, and is expected to do so. The record is 18 consecutive wins by Lithuania from 2006-2010, and the All Blacks this season came mighty close until their draw with the Wallabies in the 3rd Bledisoe test.
Cyprus' next match is against Bulgaria March 16 at home. Their final game of the season will be an away match at Hungary, and with it a possible chance to set a new rugby record. And it doesn't look like Cyprus is going to lose any time soon. Cyprus sports an 21-1-0 record in test rugby (only loss was to Israel 4 years ago). Cyprus only played their first international on March 24, 2007; a 39-3 win vs. Greece. Their squad is selected from a group of fewer than 70 eligible players cobbled together from as many as nine European countries, although more than 50 per cent are generally based in Cyprus at any one time. Thailand FB Warongkorn Khamkoet was the first player to break the 100 point plateau in RWC2015 qualifying this past weekend when he scored a try in the 75th minute vs. Chinese Taipei. Now eliminated, he finished qualifying with 105 points (4T, 11C, 20P, 1DG).

Cyprus is not eligible for the World Cup because they are not IRB members...we'll see when the playoff rolls around May 4th if the IRB put them in or disclude them, because they have clinched the top spot in ENC 2C.
These were stats I posted in another forum, these were as of March 15...I will update again later this week (more games have been played in the past 3-4 weeks), and I will try to make my spreadsheet available online for anyone interested.

Not only will they not include them, their results against the rest of 2C don't count for RWCQ purposes. They quietly removed them from the RWC website fairly recently, presumably after someone at the IRB noticed that Cyprus weren't actually eligible (after previously playing up their qualifiers here: http://www.rugbyworldcup.com/qualifying/news/newsid=2064578.html).
