USA news & politics

What a minute, are you seriously suggesting that Trump/republicans have only started calling democrats communist in the last few years? Are you sure about that?

Edit: my bad, misread. Yes communist for years and what, 5 years or so since Trump has started calling Dems fascist? Does that sound about right?

To be fair it wasn't written very coherently. Yes im fascinated by Republicans pivot in recent years to liken Dems to Nazis, and fascists...

I dont think its a smart move

It's all pretty alien to me tbh. Doesn't seem in the interests of anyone when it happens especially the public. Wouldn't there be a better system than shutting things down
Generally the party deemed to not be in power gets blamed for shutdowns. The theory was that the threat of shutdowns and the separation of powers would encourage moderation as people would need to compromise with each other for the government to run.

Unfortunately that often isn't the case. Even beach in the early days of the USA, people entrenched into their camps. The civil war was the end result where the ability to compromise broke down completely.

Democrats will lose on this, again.
Many polls suggest exactly the opposite

The people most likely, from your statement, are those affected by the healthcare cuts. A very portion, if not a majority, in red states.

Quite honestly, it seems to be the only way the democrats can bring anything to the table.

The previous bill was only passed as is was classed as a "continuing resolution" which bypassed the need for a 60 vote majority in the senate.

This time the republican need democrat votes.

As I have read, trump and the republicans have denied the democrats any input to these bills. Basically, my way or the highway.

If trump/republicans refuse to negotiate any concessions that they are fully responsible and at the same time irresponsible.
