Me, a mate and Andre Pretorius threw ice at Bryan Habana in TigerTiger Cardiff last year before our match in November.
It's f***ing awesome when you meet the big guys isn't it?
And it's so easy to do so in cardiff. Walk past the hilton at about 9am and you'll see them in the dining area eating their breakfast, on display infront of the public.
I'm surprised nobody takes any pictures or stands and stares. Everybody looks in as they walk past tho. Lol.
I've been lucky enough to meet loads of world class rugby players in the past.
I used to work in a rugby shop in cardiff and touring players would often come in just for replacement studs, or some tape or something like that and becuase of this i've met quite a few.
My list: -
Dan Carter
Ma'a Nonu
Ali Williams
Rico Gear
Luke McAllister
Leon Macdonald
Kevin Meealamu
Bryan Habana
Victor Matfield
Juan Smith
Matt Giteau
Lote Tuqiri
Chris Latham
Stirling Mortlock
Those guys truly stand out as recognisable names when they walked into my shop.
A bunch of others also come in, but lots were pacific islanders and i don't know many of those players.
I've also had the pleasure of meeting the likes of Lomu, Campese, Carling (ahem), JPR, JJ Williams, Gareth Edwards, Ray Gravelle, Shane Williams, Henson, Alun Wyn Jones and Ian Evans.
Jamie Roberts, Rhys Williams and Jamie Robinson were always in the shop, but they most notably bought welsh rugby jerseys. Lol.[/b]
Yeah he's his own biggest fan and takes the responsibility way to seriously.Do you know who isn't fun to meet? Brian O'Driscoll. He's a grumpy bugger.[/b]
My photo with Lomu is hillarious, i'm shaking hands with him and his forearms are almost 3 times the size of mine. Brilliant.[/b]

Well we ignore the AB's as well here in NZ....we just stand at a distance and pretend we are not doing anything but secretly we are having little glances....and then when we are out of earshot we say Thats Dan carter OMG!"f***.

Yeah, when he asked why I didn't try anything I was like, he was with Jimmy Cowan, and he looks a mean prick!
What I couldn't believe was that out of the many people around, that no one was taking any notice of them. That really pees me off for some reason, I was thinking, here is the best player in world rugby, a guy who will go down as one of the all-time greats of the game and no one could give two shits.
Hmmm.[/b]
:lol:Woah man i would much rather meet USA Stars than all blacks honestly your a lucky man to be able to support such a promising team[/b]

I personally think that NZ should host alot more of these nations and or Recruit some of their players for a season to give them, some high class experience. Just like that player for manawatu the argentinian at full back who used to play soccer[/b]
