As a former taxi driver, many moons ago way before the quoted equality act, I and all of my colleagues regularly took fares with guide dogs. I never heard of anyone refusing.

In fact the only time I refused a dog was the owner had them muddy, wet and sweaty and wanted me to drive them home only because he didn't want them in his car in that state, and was going to follow me home in his car. W@nk3r.

Look at reviews for the company MK... seems it's not safe for women, unsafe driving as they would speed and be on the phone, wouldn't turn up on time, and generally disliked dogs...

I always love the hyperbole about this stuff. "Shocked" "Deeply offensive" "Disgraceful"

Simmer down soundbiters, some POS branding was shipped out by someone earning minimum wage who was just doing their job, and someone else earning minimum wage did their job by putting it up in the store.

Someone in the marketing department messed up a bit by sending it to Wales, but if your career has been entirely mistake free why aren't you PM.

The comments sections on BBC sports articles are a hoot these days - riddled with grammar police and xenophobes. I think it has even moved up a notch since haveyoursay which itself was pretty toxic back in the day. Very rare you see comments thanking or complimenting the writer.

I'm firmly of the belief that society and general decency has gone down the toilet since lockdown and I don't think it's a mere coincidence. There should be some serious studies looking at it there is a causal effect between what we are seeing and the circumstances at the time.

Don’t give appear to give a monkeys anymore about anyone else but themselves. Lack of consideration and care for neighbours or just being deliberately antagonistic.

It's older than lockdown, though that accelerated it.
Personally, I think it's social media.
You get to broadcast your weirdest thoughts, and the algorithm explitly shows you people agreeing with you, and people you can feel righteous indignation against.
Which isn't social media per second, but is certainly how they all evolved.

Conspiracy theorists have always been with us, but they get an outsized voice.
Self-centredness and superiority complexes (and Dunning-Krugers) have always been with us, but the algorithms turn it all up to 11.

That leads to the likes of the tea party => MAGA, and the UKIP=>Reform, excusing and legitimising our worst impulses.
And the same on the left from "bleeding heart" => "politically correct" => "cancel culture"
