Conservatives complain to whips about fellow MP’s comments on legally settled people
Exclusive: Criticism of Katie Lam comes amid widespread confusion in the party over its policy on indefinite leave to remain
Not enough sheep?I went to France once when I was 8.
It's all got concerning enough that Ali is doing her homework to take the citizenship test![]()

I don't know what she's got against it.Poor you, Which Tyler![]()
Are you after her money?I don't know what she's got against it.
Initially it was my parents announcing their separation about a month after we announced our engagement - so give them time for the recriminations to die down
Which became "not worth the hassle - get married when kids come along, rather than adopting my own children" as it wouldn't change anything
Then "can't be bothered"
But now, when it would make her getting citizenship here easier, or us moving (together) to Ireland, or Sweden, or wherever else that bit easier - it's still a "no" - with no explanation (and no, it's not the name change, or anything like that).
We've been engaged for 21 years now.
Oh crikey, that’s a long engagement.I don't know what she's got against it.

Yes*, but by now common law would have kicked in.Are you after her money?
Name change isn't compulsory - hell I even offered to take her name, I don't care. I just don't know her reasons, and yes, sometimes I lay awake at night trying to work it out.I think a lot of people do it because it solidifies things legally and it's a sensible thing to do, citizenship wise it makes sense too.
Then again, what do I know ? I'm unmarried and never been engaged ! Oh and I wouldn't have an issue with the name change myself…..

At this point it's becoming a joke.
You read something? So ive been down a pretty conspiracy led rabbit hole this afternoon (off work with no kids).
Some of the stats concerning France and places and things of cultural significance is kind of odd. Arsons in churches are up 6X in 2024 than 2023, graffiti, damage and theft are up 10% year on year for the last 4 years, and 2024 saw a record 300, the french territorial stopped 3 major terror attacks on churches and cathedrals in the last 12 months, and there are record thefts of cultural items, not necesarily expensive or easy to pawn items, like the coins taken in the last few days.
There are a lot of Islam theories, establishment trying to demoralise the people, and a secret group from within attempting to eradicate religion in total, all wildly fun to read.
Whatever the truth is, France is seeing a spate of criminal activity against churches and cathedrals, only comparable is synagogies, i think they are about 40% and 50% with Mosques being 5%.
Id have to go check all data, ive read some questionable sources ahem the spectator ahem.
They don't actually know who leaked the video so the 4 firings are likely not related to that, despite the claims. The council leader has apparently got Reform counsellors to sign a ******* pledge of loyalty to her. It's utterly insane. It does seem though that the best argument to Reform being in power is looking at those who are. Genuinely a shitshow across the board. I can't think of a single thing associated with Reform that isn't turning into a complete mess.![]()
