A Political Thread pt. 2

Sorry @AlRums I didn’t answer your question, yes it would be mainly American and Israeli sources (if you also include released hostage witness statements as Israeli sources which would be fair enough) but I’d imagine there’s been other sources confirming this too but you’re right to be sceptical especially in terms of how much and stuff like that.

I have 1:

What do you think of negotiation talks in Qatar?
I dunno to be honest. What’s the latest? America and Israel have withdrawn? This is part of the problem, you can’t negotiate with Hamas or any of their ilk like ISIS.

One thing all Jews in Israel could do that would solve the problem overnight and would mean Hamas would seise to exist would be to convert to Islam. Problem solved.

I didnt have you as naive, you think Hamas would stop at Isreal?

US government review found no evidence of widespread Hamas theft of Gaza aid

Yeah sorry Welsh Exile starving people is starving people and the whole Hamas thing stinks of conspiracy theory.

Just accept the Israeli governement are doing disgusting **** however you label it and stop trying to both sides it.

I wouldn't be tolerant if my government was doing it and I was hearing 80% of Israelis want the stuff in Gaza to end.

I guess I would sum up my views by saying I like democracy and put more trust in any democratic system over an area governed by terrorists. That does not mean to say democracies can't act inappropriately but I will give them benefit of the doubt.

In case you misread my earlier posts I have said what is happening cannot be allowed to happen and the good thing to come out of this was that there appears to be a shift in opinion amongst Israeli citizens.

I think the issue have is that it always feels like you caveat it with, 'but Hamas are worse'. Nobody denies that Hamas are bad. However, that doesn't change what Israel is doing and constantly mentioning it feels like making an excuse for Israel. You can just post that Israel are wrong without mentioning Hamas.

As I outlined, I make a clear distinction between a terrorist state and a democratic state and all the systems and mechanism that entails. Hamas is the context which is why it’s important to keep mentioning them.

But look, if it’s true there is deliberate, intentional starvation going on that is wrong and as I said to you a while back, if we see them start setting up gas chambers and wiping them out we should intervene militarily as that is obviously not good. I would also be a lot more concerned if Israel was an authoritarian, non democratic state but as you can see in the last few days people are speaking out and fingers crossed that brings about a stop to it. The same can’t be said for Gaza. If the wars ends tomorrow with Hamas in charge they go again and start making a plan to kill more Jews (again Jews, not Israelis that is a very important distinction imo)
