6000 trucks if aid waiting, not being allowed into Gaza.

Nothing to see here. This is the Israeli Govt looking out for Palestinians by making sure they aren't getting ripped off by Hamas.

That's not the FT how can we possibly believe it.

Meanwhile aid sufficient for 100 people gets parachuted in when the place needs 500 trucks.

At this point people blaming Hamas or denying the famine are either deluded or lying. There is minimal evidence of Hamas being the cause and mountains showing it's Israel.

This is an ethnic cleansing and probably even a genocide.
Now now are we actually sure it's genocide? Sure at least 5% of the buildings in Gaza are still standing

Also, let's say for arguments sake that Hamas were blocking aid and hoarding all the food. I find it hard to believe that there wouldn't be some sort of backlash or uprising from Palestinians given how hard that would be to conceal and blame others. People who are desperate and starving will often resort to violence or some kind of unrest. I doubt Hamas are blameless but when 100+ independent aid organisations who are on the ground all say the same thing...

Think support for Hamas is really low. As is support for the war in Israel. I don't think either group can or will do much about it

On face value it seems neither government would be particularly big on open and honest elections.

It's a complete mess. Israel has a democratic political system but even then Netanyahu is widely said to have used corruption to gain power illegally but is dragging things out to dodge the justice system.

The issue with a democratic system when your popularity takes a nose dive.

Like I said before: saying Israel is a democracy under its current leadership is like saying Hungary is one too and just because you're a democracy doesn't mean you are automatically given a pass. The British, France and Belgium empires were a democracy but it didn't stop the suffering of people in India, Algeria or the Congo.

I do wonder why Israel hasn't had a pop at taking out the Hamas leadership based in Qatar. They must have the intel and means. Perhaps America's relationship with Qatar has made them off limits.
