Google Spencer, he doesn't seem to have any balance when it comes to itrael, I watched most of it and was very unimpressed with him as an "expert"I've listened to almost an hour of this and I've yet to hear one single criticism of the Israeli government/IDF.
At least he didn't fail my other test (referring to West Bank as Judea and Samaria)

His credentials are pretty good and some of his analysis seems ok however his inability to criticise Israel on even obvious things they’ve gotten wrong makes me question some of his analysis even if it seems sound. As I say, I’ll stick to Benny (even though he’s not a war expert)Google Spencer, he doesn't seem to have any balance when it comes to itrael, I watched most of it and was very unimpressed with him as an "expert"
Steady you'll get three and a half years for inciting violence. That is an extraordinarily punchable face.
I love that he even admits to doing literally nothing.![]()

I wonder why we don't have some sort of dedicated high capacity facility to house these people by now? Surely at this stage it would be cheaper and he'll streamline things? This country disgusts me more every single day

You'd imagine a dedicated facility is a lesser of all evils approach. It will be coddling luxury to one side and imprisonment to the other but, as long as it's reasonable and can demonstrably deal with some of the issues relating to the hotels you mentioned, I think both sides could begrudgingly accept it. The reform lot would happily have us shoot them on sight, which is clearly never going to happen, whilst the fat left would have us embrace then all with no regard for cultural integration, the economy and local issues.Ok, so leaving the USA thread aside, there has been investigation into this in previous years...
Its not politically convenient, mostly because one side of the isle will claim preferential treatment, and we are accommodating illegal migrants, and the other, and probably the first side will call them cages and inhumane, not to mention the human rights lawyers licking their lips...
There were cases in Wales and probably elsehwere of using old military barracks, but they were deemed inhuman, and location is usually rural caused mayhem in the community.
The truth is, these hotels may once have been 4 star etc, but the become slums very quickly, crime is rife, desperation leads these guys (there are some women and family regardless of whats reported) to go steal food, and their limbo status lead to distraught and usually drug and alcohol to cope of the loneliness, missing family, lack of cultural entities which then exasperates the problems.
Hotels are a no win scenario, but charities cant find willing hosts for 20 year old men, who have difficult attitudes and behaviours to deal with.
I have a new client im meeting this week, all the worrying trigger word 'cultural differences' 'struggles with specific demographics' 'complex relationship with children'.
Hell bent ok, he just needs to be properly educated, and have something meaningfully to do while he awaits his status.
Wasn't that part of the legal arguement they aren't hotels and claiming they are was wrong and abuse of the application processOk, so leaving the USA thread aside, there has been investigation into this in previous years...

The only thing both sides are in is the system should be more efficient, quicker and cheaper.
