Heineken Champions Cup 22/23 - Rd 2

Leinster will, topping the group gets a home route to the final which is also in Dublin.

God knows I'll celebrate it but winning a Heineken Cup playing 6 games in Dublin and 2 away wouldn't be an incredible achievement.
well at least we will see a meaningful game then. This format is poor; watching Exeter today; half of Bulls team missing; Exeter normally a sell out but today empty seats. Game in the UK needs sell outs for revenue. Games like last night do very little to generate crowds. Was like a colts side playing the first team. Who wants to pay good money to watch that. Good luck to Leinster; fantastic team, play great rugby

Surprised to see Bulls so comfortably beaten in the pack - I'm not a weirdo so I don't watch the URC but just presumed all SA sides had good setpieces

Read online that the Bulls flew economy via Doha, then on top of that Jake White kept the same second team from last week. Seems he has deprioritized these games and is focused on the URC fixtures directly after them, and is then targeting the next set of games to get into knockout.

He seems to be the only coach in SA taking the rotation so intensely in this competition though, and has been quite vocal about teams needing to rotate. But sending a B team that gets smashed looks poor.

You can take a man out of the top 14 but you can't take the top 14 out of a man.

Raynal makes some mad decisions, that's clearly a shoulder charge

Penalty only but how is that fine?

Reynal has no idea, does he? Shoulder to the head from Woodburn, just after a no-wrap dangerous clearout by Bulls' 5.

Reynal? Scrum down.

Wasn't he the ref for Warwick's direct head contact last week too?

Cas are playing their defense coach as replacement scrum half

They have also now given up 22 penalties

Ill take that, a dominant Chiefs win. Not sure how close to full strength that was but it was a good physical display from us. Just hope we can use this and regain some form in the prem going forward.

Not a good few minutes from Loader,
Tries to go himself instead of passing on the 2-on-1 and gives away a penalty, then drops off a one on one tackle that leads to a try
