New Cycling season

He did. Mistake from Pog let him in, but I think he'd have had enough anyhow.

3 in a row's pretty special.

Gotta love Paris-Roubaix…

6 riders sustained fractures in the men's race, one of whom finished.

4 more DNFs due to injury.

1 finisher with facial snitches. Another after undergoing concussion protocols.

In the women's race just 3 main injuries, 2 of which required hospital attention, the worst for a broken hip.

Said it before, but they're tough little so and so's. Genuinely deserve every penny.

Chapeau to Simon Yates for an amazing attack yesterday that's won him the Giro d'Italia assuming he stays upright during today's final parade stage.

Some dumb tactics from other teams helped, but total redemption for his 2018 meltdown on the same mountain. Then he led for 10 days or so until Froome blew him to smithereens with his incredible race winning attack from even further out.

This time he's ridden a very smart race - always in touch in and around around the top 3, but today - the only one that matters - will be his first in the Maglia Rosa.
