New Scottish Talent...

I think that Scotland have some great talent coming through, especially the attacking side of things. There is from Glasgow: Max Evans, Thom Evans, John Barclay and Ruaridh Jackson. Also from Edinburgh: David Blair, Rory Laidlaw, Ben Cairns and Nick De Luca...

John Barclay after his performance in Toulouse is set for big things. If Cairns, De Luca and Godman can bulk up and learn a few more tricks then they can properly challenge as well.

De Luca is pretty bulky hes just gash, no skill whatsoever, falls off tackles and always drops the ball.

But yes the Evans brothers are really something to look forward to, Barclay is a player very much in the McCaw/Smith build.

Barclay got profiled in a rugby mag about 2 years ago and I thought he'd go on from there. Looks destined for big things.

Barclay is a fantastic player. He should be the starting openside for the Lions this summer.

Jackson was fantastic against Bath. At only 20 years old he has a huge future ahead of him.

Yes, Barclay is a huge talent. He has proven himself at international level. In the 2007 WC he took on McCaw and, although he did not come out on top, he gave McCaw something to think about. Also, the Magners Leagues top try scorer this season, Thom Evans, has real pace to burn. In the Autumn Internationals, he managed to round and outrun Bryan Habana. So if Scotland manage to get the right ball to him he can be the tryscorer Scotland desperately crave.

Do they have any other talent in their pack except for Barclay??[/b]

Yes, but nothing quite the talent of Barclay.

There is Ally Kellock who is the captain and lock. He is a good ball carrier, excellent lineout forward and strong leader.

Also, the hooker, Fergus Thomson, is a player who has very good technique and cannot be beaten for passion...

I would say the backs are more talented overall.

Or if you mean the Scotland pack...

We have a pretty impressive back row...with barclay, Simon Taylor, Jason White, Ally Hogg and more...
Front row, Allan Jacobsen who is ok...Ross Ford is probably getting toward being the best hooker in Britain because of his ball carrying skill and Euan Murray who is the best No.3 in Britain at the moment. The Second row is pretty good....Nathan Hines and Jim Hamilton with Ally Kellock on the bench...
