D = Draft Pick

I got this from my dad, they arent announced to the public untill tomorrow morning at 11am so we got it early.

Looks much weaker without all the big names IMHO.. but shows what talent there is with the players who are still there!

Awesome, 3 Chch Boy's High boys all within 3 years of each other in the Crusaders (Brett, Bateman, Manu). Can't wait to see Nasi get some time, at 19 the guys an absolute beast. Obviously Bateman is a huge prospect and should get a fair crack this season, don't know where Brett will fit with Carter back.
George Whitelock's another new guy I'm looking forward to see.

Nice work on the early post Harry. The only one I can see that you missed was Anesi? So looks like you're a pretty reliable source.

Interesting to see the Canes didn't take a single draft.
Crusaders are the same, although Whitelock is a late transfer obviously.

Personally, feel sorry for Jason Shoemark (CE) and Sona Taumalolo (LHP) from the Bay. Thought they both had amazing seasons and would have picked up a spot in the Canes. I would have thought that Shomark might have got a shot at the Chiefs Highlanders or Crusaders and Taumalolo getting in at the Blues Hurricanes or Highlanders.

I thought that Kade Poki and Vainakolo would both get spots somewhere.

Highlanders will actually have a pretty decent Backline next year.

10. Bowden
11. Vainakolo
12. Leota/Bancroft
13. Ta'auso
14. Mulipola/Williams
15. Wilson

Despite all the losses each Kiwi team still has a mean look about it.
Chiefs midfield looks a bit thin. And I guess Ralph or McDonald cover 13 at the Crusaders if Lauala gets injured again?

Chiefs Midfield? Thin? Not when you get Kahui back, who would have been in the WC squad if not due to injury.

Kind of disappointed we won't be seeing Issac Ross in the Red & Black this year. I honestly prefer him over Ross Filipo, but I guess it's not my call. It's still looking to be a great season for Canterbury anyway. There's a lot depth everywhere but at centre, so as long as Laulala doesn't miss an extended period of time, Canterbury should be making another trip to the final.

Yea I would have liked to have seen Isaac Ross as well but i suppose he might be able to get more game time at the Highlanders. Its good to see some young guys in there like Nasi Manu and Tim Bateman. By the time Richie leaves Nasi might be the next great loose forward.

I think the Chiefs will be better from the look of that squad. Stephen Donald should go better with Callum Bruce helping him out in midfield and the addition of Viliame Waqaseduadua gives them great depth in the back 3.

Media sources are the most reliable ;)

Ever wonder why you always see/hear on news/newspaper possible lineups, or predicted squads? It's becuase they get them sent to them but under "embargo", meaning they are officailly not allowed to be announced. At least not directly eh.

Either way, nice work...

Since this is straight from the Wellington Rugby Ceo I would say that this is a pretty reliable source. And the only reason I didnt get Anesi's name in there was cause I was typing it off a sheet and must of missed it.

I fully understand why he was entered into the draft, it was either him or Patterson. I think this shows the confidence and potential they see in Ross. Sitting behind 3 All Blacks is no fun, so it'll be good for him to get big time minutes for the Highlanders. At least it gives me a reason to watch the Highlanders play this year. As for Manu, yeah I think he's going to be a fantastic number 8, but that still leaves us wanting at the openside position once McCaw decides to pack his bags and cash in a rather large check from a NH club. We need to find that new young ball scrounger. No bandaide solution like Hopgood. We'll need to have legitimate world class open side if we want to keep this big bad Canterbury dynasty rolling.

Should be enough to cause some damage - shame that Nucifora is going to get the Wallaby job after Ali moves to Canterbury... no doubt the rest of the country who have been wanting anybody but him to be in the All Blacks will suddenly begin coveting him.

Damn we're gonna be struggling out wide with only 1 specialist winger Hosea Gear. I guess Paku, Jane or Nonu will have to cover doesn't look good especially since Nonu will most likely be playing in the centres. To be honest not really a strong looking team for Hurricanes hopefully they'll prove me wrong.

Auckland have some fierce fire power in the whole backline all game breakers and Nick Evans too bloody hell its gonna be hard facing them.

Flippin heck Chiefs have got to have the fastest players Sivivatu, Anesi, Waqaseduadua & Masaga gonna be hard keeping them all from running all over the place.

Guilford's a specialist winger I guess now - he spent the whole Magpie season in the 14 jumper.

Although he was a Second Five throughout the Under 15's and was shunted around between Centre and Full Back for the First XV at Napier Boys.

Well, looks like our NH grooming pen will still be an interesting comp next year.

>>Still very strong, will be great to see Ali in the good old rad & black, that would **** any Aucklander off which is enough for me.

I hope to god Bateman plays at 12 instead of Brett.

I'd probley put Atiga in there at fullback instead of Nacewa.

Chiefs will probley look like this:

Craig West
Tom Willis
Aled De Malmanche
Jono Gibbes
Toby Lynn
Messam
Latimer
Lauaki

Leonard
Donald
Sivivatu
Richard Kahui
Dwayne Sweeney
Lelia Masaga/Viliame W'Duadua
Malili Muliaina

The Chiefs have got so much depth in the backs. With Mills, Viliame, Masaga, Sivivatu and Anesi they are going to be so dangerous out wide.
