"Antics", "cheating", "stealing the ball" "hands in the ruck" and every other vague comment in the world is said about McCaw. It's said so often that there must be a mountain of video evidence. Unfortunately I've yet to see real evidence of him on you tube or anywhere else.

In the unlikely event something is ever found it'll be one incident, just like every player in the loose forwards of every country. Let's start calling Palu or George Smith a cheat, because we can.[/b]

MCCAW IS A CHEAT

I don't think you can just look at registered player figures and break it down into who deserves more respect. New Zealand have a proud rugby culture and a strong club competition, while wallabies such as Gerrard will go from playing in front of 50,000 to playing in front of a few families having a sausage sizzle in the course of a week or two. This means we're not the best at developing up and coming talent- players that don't have S14 contracts have a hard time of it in our club comps

We've got a great deal of registered players, but you have to take into account that a great deal of them are ex-pats (club i was playing for in Sydney was full of Brits and Kiwis). Club rugby is just better organised and nurtured in NZ and that's far more important than a few stats.

Anyway while i'm backing the wallabies I don't think they're going in as clear favourites. We've had problems backing up our wins before and playing a fatigued French team at home is a totally different kettle of fish than facing a desperate AB's outfit at Eden Park.

The end of that was a focking assault, some people need to relax a bit. But yeah, that was fun.

Right well in that case a Bicks victory by one score. Is there not going to be a tri-nations prediction contest this year?

No idea how this will play out. Will watch it on record - too early.

We should see why Henry keeps going with Donald. Cheating gay lovers? With McCaw in a threesome?

I wouldn't have said you were that soft Woldog, but if you are well thats your business and maybe some gym work would sort you out. Otherwise wear a blouse.

It does look like a decent side but, I dunno, theres something there that makes the Australians favourites for the game in my mind. I will bet any money the 1st arguement of the TriNats surrounds McCaw and his "antics" at the breakdown.

That said should be a terrific competition and will try to wake up early to see the game on Saturday.[/b]

Wow...seems that quite a few New Zealanders are a bit touchy on the subject
Thing that's most stupid is the one's who kick off about it, it's only a joke, and ffs of course he's a cheat. He's a blindside flanker, that's what they do :P

As we've learned from recent history, in rugby all winners are deemed cheats as a matter of routine. :P

I think we will win this game. Sure, so far this season we have had a poor start. Still, we have only lost one game and we hadn't lost in the start of year tests for 6 years so the loss was well due. Our team is quite similar to what we had last year. The same team that won a grand slam and retained the Bledisloe Cup and Tri Nations. People have forgotten about those achievements pretty quickly. We have McCaw back and he will make all the difference. It is shocking how much we rely on him. Having Donald there is a worry but i think we can counter it. Donald was probably the right selection as he is more solid then the risky McAlister who has been playing poorly.

Other than quaking in his boots when he kicks goals in test matches, Donald does seem to have reasonable around the field play. His passing isn't shocking, his tactical kicking is sound if not glamourous and his defence isn't questionable. He has been partly wronged by his missing goals in tests where other backs have played appallingly. That said he hasn't complete and effective control of his position as other class acts have in NZ rugby's history.

I might give him another chance or two, but I'll be watching very closely on Saturday.

New Zealand have Maoris, so they have an instant advantage in size.[/b]

Except us poor ******** who have to grow up tackling Maoris, which isn't fun. Damn natural talent.

Heck yeah lol I was a bloody 70kg kid at school playing against kids who were easily 120+kgs! (South Auckland P.I and moari boys!!)
