Sucks really, I remember that try.

Think it might be a mistake taking Hipkiss. I can think of a range of players who have had really bold and outstanding seasons, and his name isn't one that really comes to mind. I don't know why they didn't just bring up Lamb from the Saxons squad, although I presume it is an experience issue.

Atleast he's very quick, i have a bit of a soft spot for him, as ever for a winger its easy to highlight his defensive penalties but he is a very good finisher, in the same mould as Sackey but more class.

There is a winger who is a specialist finisher, but Varndell is in a league of his own when it comes to poor defence. As a Sale fan we have ahd to put up with some of Steve Hanley's defence, but Varndell is just beyond even that. I saw him in the Sale/Leicester final where he was letting people walk through and even gave a pass to an invisible man.
