Upon arrival, one of the NZ players took his first look at the stadium where the rugby will be played and shouted: "****, boys, take a look at this."

I doubt any of the 7's players have played in front of 50,000 ppl as they will tomorrow...... that might give the real rugby players an advantage.

wales are playing descent and the whole world will now realise what a skillfull fly half james hook is.

Australia lost 14-12 but were defiantely the much better side, with two players being sent off. Worst refereeing I've ever seen in a professional rugby match, he should stick to his son's Nelson u/11 side.

What a joke........England win 14-12

Two bullshit Yellow cards for us

We would have dominated the Poms if that ref wasn't a complete :toss: er

Aussies for the Gold!! ........yep

Defiantely. If that England side were meant to be the favourites we'll win this thing easily.

I noticed they didn't have that Strettle kid............Y isn't he there?
Not quite sure who he is. Their flyhalf Ben Gollings played for Sunnybank in the Brisbane club competition last year though.

Why did Ella take Giteau, Fava and Tuqiri off for what appeared to be the entire second half?

Dunno maybe they were tired.......would have been pretty easy with them on the field.

Strettle is that kid that smoked the Fijian's........super quick

Their fast guy was the won who scored England's second try.
Yeah Varndell(sp?)......i dont know what Shepard was doing.

Shepard was a bit crap really, along with that black centre who kept trying to attack the line.

Ella will defiantely need to keep Giteau and Tuqiri on the field for longer in our next three games.

australlia have looked pretty good - i can definitely see them being in the semis

wales face the best team so far in fiji, im not holding much hope - but if can get the ball and execute our chances we could beat them

That bitter taste was gone almost immediately after the resumption of international rugby tournaments the very next year when England proved they were "world chumps" and slowly gained several new ***les to go with it's "first NH team to win WC one". Such as "The first World Cup Champions to concede 50 points in a match after a WC", "First WC Champions to lose to Wales", "First World Cup Champions to lose to scotland" and my favourate "Highest record of loses by a WC Champion team."

I know the Wallabies sucked last year, but at least when we won our last WC we were able to keep the wins coming for a while! :p
