Wallabies Squad Named

<div class='quotemain'>
i wanna know why mark gerrard wasn't picked![/b]
Look at how he played against the Force, that's how he plays in the big international games...consistent generally but when it comes to the crunch he turns to water most of the time....Shepherd is a better prospect.
[/b][/quote]

That's rubbish.

There was nothing separating his and Shepherd's form this year. In fact, Gerrard had a better all round year. Shepherd just happened to have a better game when the Force played the Brumbies.

Gerrard was also the Wallabies top try scorer in 2006 when he was a regular.

But he's sooooo sllllooooowwwwww!!

He's got a great kicking game but not a whole lot better than Shepherd's and Shepherd does pretty much everything better....and FASTER!!

Gee I used to like Gerard back in his early Brumbies days....what ever happened??????

Back when he was top line breaker in the game in super rugby (or so the commentator said...)

Guys, while we're on the topic, my brother went and saw Indiana Jones with Gerrard because he knows one of his wife's friends through film school.

End of story.

Its good to see Tahu not making it based on his Rl rep.
Tbh Thats how sailor and rogers made Aus.

Tuqiri was the only recent convert to prove overly dominant in the code.

whats with all the fuss about al baxter? (and mat dunning) Australia has no other good props! so stop complainging until we get good ones

What a squad!!! First-class players... It's a shame Latham aint there due to injury

My squad

1. Robinson
2. Polata-Nau
3. Dunning
4. Mumm
5. Sharpe
6. Elsom
7. Smith
8. Palu
9. Burgess
10. Giteau
11. Tuqiri
12. Barnes
13. Mortlock ©
14. Ioane
15. Ashley-Cooper

16. Moore
17. Alexander (Got to blood some new props)
18. Chisholm (On 2nd half. Pull Elsom and switch Mumm into Blindside Flanker in 2nd half)
19. Brown
20. Cordingley
21. Shepherd
22. Hynes (On 2nd half. Pull Tuqiri)

Bit worried about what happens if we lose an inside centre or Fly Half. All I can see to do is switch Ashley-Cooper into inside centre and bring on Shep to cover Fullback.

Silly question, but what is this squad for? Just some tests coming up?

This isn't a Tri-Nations squad? What is the Bundaberg Rum series? Is it just a series of tests, or some fancy name for Tri-Nations?

I don't follow SH rugby that much, as you lot can probably tell.

They'll name another squad for the tri nations. This is just for the Irish / French hit outs

I'd say the end of the month. Theirs likely to be plenty of changes because it'll be deans' first squad

Who is that at the back of the Wallabies picture strachting there head?

I believe it's Ben Alexander scratching his head wondering how he got into the Wallabies team... although he shouldn't be too surprised, my grandmother would be more useful than Baxter and Dunning...
